Ok. I've just purchased a new PC with a top of the range Creative labs sound card, the next order of business was a good pair of PC speakers. Having read the rave reviews on this site & others, I decided to go for the Soundsticks II. Well, the build quality is excellent, both the satellites & the bass unit have a really solid, quality feel about them & it looks great too. Setup is easy, just take a moment to examine the connections, they look a bit like an S-Video connection and if you're not careful it is possible to break the small pins inside. These speakers look great but that's where the quality ends. The satellites have good treble but the sub is flat and offensive when turned up. No idea what the alternatives are but please do your research first. Real value: Probably about £20.00.

Well i am rather happy with the JBL's, came nice and quickly too which was good. The speakers look good, and go nicely with my macbook, now the sound: 1. For the music i listen they sound really good. i listen to a lot of bass heavy house music, and the speakers deal with it really well. The sub has a good authoritative bass that is clean, punchy and deep, but does not overpower the rest of the sound. 2. I have to admit they do not sound great for everything, as they lack the midrange ability, but for me this is not a big deal, as i said i listen to mostly house which is bass heavy. 3. WOWEEE!!!!! It's like Christmas has come early. I orderd them only yesterday and they arrived this morning at 8.30 all shiny and new. Took me about five minutes to unpack and plug into my Mac. Then I woke the rest of my house up!!!!!!!!!!!! They are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M NOW PLAYING MY MUSIC NICE AND LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought these speakers about 2 months ago and i haven't looked back. The only problem i had was that the delivery cost to Northern Ireland isn't shown on amazon while you book them. The delivery cost was about 20 pound. However on a bright note, i love these speakers. I have them connected to my XPS lap top and they work great. The sound produced is simply stunning and very clear. The sup woofer is very powerful. I don't agree with people saying these speakers are "apple/mac accessories", they are multimedia speakers I bought these speakers instead of creative 5.1 sound speakers and I still believe this was the right choice. By these speakers, because they are great sounding multimedia speakers and they look great! ... Read More:

I have one of these, the sound is awesome, its hard to believe the quality from such small speakers... But .. I Pod Nano, The docking adaptor does not fit correctly, The Nano is too tight and you need to force it in. For the Nano you have to use the IPod Mini adaptor otherwise it feels like you may break your Ipod! Shame really, cos its is a nice bit of kit.
