This scart lead is dirt cheap but I got fed up with it being a struggle to connect. I bought a better quality one that fits into my TV without any fuss.

this is a new optical cable from ixos the picture on web page is the old cable when i opened the packaging i thought it was a hdmi cable due to the thickness it is not weedy old type optical it is well constructed well done ixos

I was always one of those people that thought a SCART lead is a SCART lead. I'd buy the cheap leads with gold plated plugs, but I considered leads like this a waste of money. I have no problem holding my hands up and saying I was wrong...... I bought an LCD TV last year. The image quality is excellent via HDMI, but my Virgin Media set top box has to be connected via SCART and the picture quality always left a lot to be desired, although I just put it down to signal compression. I decided to give the IXOS SCART lead a go and it's definitely a vast improvement over the cable I was using. The image looks cleaner and sharper and there's less visual "noise". Fantastic portable speaker with surprising sound quality, volume levels and also a tough casing but i think it's a fake. It does not have the make 'Ixos' written on it anywhere and it came in a padded envelope rather than a manufacturers box. I think the real one has the Ixos logo on the side. However it is still excellent and im happy i bought it. Despite this possibly being a copy, i would still recommend it!

Fantastic portable speaker with surprising sound quality, volume levels and also a tough casing but i think it's a fake. It does not have the make 'Ixos' written on it anywhere and it came in a padded envelope rather than a manufacturers box. I think the real one has the Ixos logo on the side. However it is still excellent and im happy i bought it. Despite this possibly being a copy, i would still recommend it!

i have to agree with mr cook's review. these were excellent speakers for a while, (think i've had them 18 months or so) but the connection has just gone dodgy and now you have to fiddle around with the the cable that connects to the ipod (or whatever it is you have it plugged into to get sound out of.) i especially liked the fact i wasn't reduced to plugging it into my ipod, it worked just as well with my laptop. a decent buy, but don't overspend on it.
