Purchased this through ACS Media on Amazon.co.uk Marketplace and item arrived swiftly and in perfect condition. I'm not that technically competent so a brief teething trouble (I had to disconnect my webcam to allow the turntable to be heard) was swiftly resolved with a quick call to the Ion tech helpdesk (although they're only open during office hours) who were excellent. The software takes less than 30 seconds to install and is extremely simple to use. I've not had the need to try the advanced software as yet, but played back through iTunes it sounds great to me. I've been using this Audio ION Audio Tape to PC Casettendeck USB for a couple of weeks, and think it is a good product. It is true that you don't have to buy this if you already have a good cassette deck, the cables required, the software and the technical know how etc. However, if you don't and you want a well priced and easy to use solution for downloading cassettes to your PC, this product gives you what you need. There IS automatic track sensing (one reviewer says there isn't), so you don't have to sit by your PC when downloading tapes. It even uses Gracenote to find track titles for you (although this does not work for all albums). Just make sure you download the latest software and reset windows default Audio devices ... I am sure if I had a p.c. this would be a brilliant product ,but sadly it is not as mac friendly as it claim's,after many phone call's and e mails ,I still have not been able to down load a single note ,the company it's self seems to have also given up trying to help.they claim it is an error with itunes (7.7.1) but of course apple doesn't see one. so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place,and no music to listen to .ION uRecord USB Soundcard & Turntable Pre-Amp

I recently bought one of these from PC world, an I returned it within about 4 hours of purchase because it is completely useless. Not only did I notice, straight away, the problem with the pedals, as has been mentioned in every other review (when you use the pedals, you'll more often than not end up hearing the sound twice, sometimes three times.), but I also found that, no matter which pad I hit, somehow the vibrations in the frame would cause the Crash symbol to sound as well. It's completely useless as a drum kit. DON'T BE SWAYED BY THE LOW PRICE, YOU WILL BE DISSAPPOINTED! Well, having read the good and poor reviews about this product, I have to say, all I can give is full marks to the turntable. It is a full size turntable, (which is rare even these days), a belt driven turntable for low rumble and the turntable itself has a high torque, which handles albums perfect, and the test for high torque is of course to see how much the belt slips. This one was perfect. Setting up was a cinch, plug in the USB plug, install the Audacity software, (by the way the turntable also has phono plugs to play your records on a normal hi fi system - great extra!) Once audacity is setup, just a few tweaks to the software itself, to change it from the default MONO recording, to STEREO recording, and then search for the lame mp3 dll encoder, ... Read More:

An excellent kit for under £500, with only a few minor problems, but for under £500, very good. It was fairly hard to set up, but only because there weren't good instructions, the headphones included don't work as they are for an amp socket and it was a usb kit, and the pedals have a bad reputation for going off when you don't want them to, and double and triple beats often happen. very good though, and an excellent, fun toy.

I'm really impressed with this product. It produces high quality sound without distortion, it's portable due to the wheels and expandable handle, it has a rechargable battery lasts for hours and it is really loud! I'm going to use mine for fitness classes so the ipod connection is great (and you can charge your ipod whilst it is playing). I've also bought an additional wire to connect my personal cd player to the unit, and the sound quality is still great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this ipa03.

The turntable really does what it says on the tin - it turns your vinyl into MP3 files for import onto an iPod, but boy do you have to go through some hoops to get there. If you have accumulated vinyl from your days at university in the 60's and 70's, then forget getting track names from gracenote. This utility is patchy at the best, and if you have classic music albums, eg beethovens Violin concerto, then forget the various parts to whole piece ie the Allegro, andante con molto, gracenote gets it as the title of the first piece, and as classical recordings tend not to have deliniated tracks, but fade into each other, then one has to go into iTunes and insert the names manually. Or if you have a pop album but don't want all the tracks, you have to stop the turntable ... Read More:
