I received my JBL today and within minutes had it plugged in and playing. Wow... the sound quality is great not to mention the brilliant subwoofer, very good overall package. The little speakers are so cute and on one of the speaker you have volume buttons to control the output of the music. I recently had the Harmon Kardon Soundstick 2 which was also a great piece, the JBL is equally as good if not better for its looks. I didn't know this at the start, but the covers on the subwoofer and two speakers are changable, it comes with black covers and white covers as standard. The black covers are standard and already on, but simply take it off and place the white ones on if desired plus JBL have other covers ... Read More:

Whilst these may not be the cheapest 2.1 speakers you can buy - they do look good! the sound quality is good, bought them specifically to plug an Mp3 player into, and the sounds they produce make them worth the money. If it is very good surround sound quality you want, spend some more and buy some decent 5.1 speakers, if it is looks and good quality sound you want, buy these.

Sometimes you read reviews written by other people about a product you own and wonder why they can think and feel so differently to you. This item is one of those - I see loads of positive reviews for this system when I found it to be cheap, nasty and just not good enough. From the moment I opened the packaging my heart sank - these speakers are very small (they are travel speakers after all) - make sure you have read the dimensions PROPERLY before you buy. You have been warned. Now,it's akin to a law of physics that small speakers = bad sound so I wondered what magic had been performed by JBL on these little chaps. Bought on holiday in states to plug into hotel... hotel already had one in room! But love it all the same and now hardly use my computer and speakers or cd hi fi player etc.... and great to charge ready for the next day... Great sound anyway and even more so as its so small in size. Remote appears to work through walls! Only wish it came with batteries so's i could play it in places with no electricity and when there's a powercut here at home.

ive had these speakers for about 3years and after using them everyday almost full volume the treble is starting to hiss when i first got them i was gob smacked buy the sound quality that each 9w sattilite produced overall i have been very impressed with these speakers i would recommend them to anyone i am going to buy another pair soon and use the ones i have at the moment for the tv

Very straight-forward to install and certainly looks, I guess, 'cool'. (Although supplying a black lead with what is essentially a white dock seems pretty daft!) The actual sound quality, for me, however, was very disappointing. My iMac provides a better, more rounded sound so, in retrospect, I feel that I have wasted what is basically £100.00. The JBL On Stage 111 is tinny, with a clear emphasis on treble notes. Even with the EQ settings adjusted to the Bass Booster preference, the outcome is disappointing. I would not recommend this product if you feel that you have a discerning ear.
