I'm happy firstly because I bought this same item two weeks ago for 60 pounds in duty free at Gatwick and was relieved to find that this was cheaper then the internet price - Woo Hoo!! Moving on, however, I'm also pleased because it is of a quality build, well constructed and innovative in the way it folds away into a small compact soft case. Even better, the headphone wire reals away perfectly too, so avoiding the usual fuss with tangled wiring. Sound cancelling facility is good. I used it on a Jumbo 747 flight to barbados and now a would not travel without them. Only issue is that it needs to have a more robust hard case, like the Bose headphone unit, to avoid against accidents.

Judging by the other review on this page I must have just picked up a dodgy pair off the shelf. As it is, I've lost a lot of respect for JVC thanks to these headphones. I'd previously been using a pair made by another top-brand name which lasted me almost two years before finally packing in. I thought i'd give these a whirl as they looked good and I felt the £20 price tag was a guarantee of at least some quality. While the ear buds proved to be comfortable and of reasonable sound quality (although lacking bass, but you try getting a speaker the size of a peanut to thump out a decent beat), within a few weeks of use one of them had snapped off.
