I agree with previous comments that the postal charges are a rip-off. However,I recently shopped around at a large shopping mall outside Bristol
for sd cards and the cheapest 1G sd cards was more than £13 and the 2G card was over £24. So for a card under £1 and postage around £5 you are still getting a bargain. And it only took 2 days to arrive.

A few years ago I bought a 1GB Mini-SD card for nearly £70, it's not surprising that technology has moved on to produce higher capacity cards - that was inevitable. The surprising aspect is the amazing price drop over the last few years. For less than a fiver you can now have a few GB of physical storage in a format not much bigger than a sweetcorn nibblet!

I've had a few Kingston cards and the Japanese based-company produces high quality cards which often retail for less than the bigger brands such as SanDisk. The Micro-SD card slots into the supplied SD Adaptor. It's a nice snug fit, and the slight lip on the outside of the Micro-SD card assists you in removing it once it's inserted. The actual capacity seems to be 1.8GB, but ... Read More:

I think this is a handy little device. After losing many a cap in my handbag, this reatractable stick solved that problem. Can't complain about the speed - seems pretty fast - what I would consider the standard for a USB 2.0 device. Plus, Kingston offered a 5 year warranty on these - hard to beat!

For some reason I've often had trouble with memory sticks which simply stop working. I've had two Kingston data traveller sticks, one 1GB, one 4GB, and both of them have been utterly reliable. There's a little light to show if it's in use, and the colour coding gives you a clue as to the size of the memory you're dealing with (eg 4GB is purple, 1GB is grey). They're not quite the cheapest memory sticks, but the extra reliability is, in my view, worth paying a little bit extra for. Plus they look as if they were designed by Apple.

For: works every time. Looks good. Against: not as cheap as cheaper memory sticks.
