This is a cheap 8GB usb memory stick, formatted in FAT32, just what I needed for backing up work from my netbook. It installed automatically in Windows XP. There are no security features (at this price, not surprising), but I suppose in XP or Vista you could put your file(s) in a zip folder and assign a password if you're concerned about that. A small LED flashes when data is being saved or accessed. Other customers have commented on excessive p&p charges, but this seems to have been sorted; I payed a basic price with free p&p.

This product when i put it in my mobile completely ruined it. I am not impressed and think that any one who does now buy this should consider the cost of a new mobile as well if thats what it is to be used for!

For the money this is a superb device, it's fast at reading and writing which is what you would expect. However, I have encountered one problem which is the reason why I have only given it 4 stars, in order to use the device you have to slide the side button, this retracts the USB mechanism, when you plug in the device, this sometimes forces the USB back into it's housing therefore not activating the device. I don't know if Kingston are aware of this little problem, there should be a means to lock the device in the open position. The other good benefit is the 5 year guarantee

good card reader - arrived next day excellent service. only thing is it won't read a microSD card which is inserted into a SD convertor but otherwise good piece of kit

Kingston Media Reader - Card reader - 19 in 1 ( CF I, CF II, Memory Stick, MS PRO, MMC, SD, MS Duo, MS PRO Duo, miniSD, RS-MMC, MMCmobile, microSD, MMCmicro, SDHC, miniSDHC, MS Micro, microSDHC ) - Hi-Speed USB. I purchased this item after looking at various others and reading their reviews, and am delighted with it. It is very quick to transfer the photos and saves on battery life if transferring direct from camera with USB cable. I can certainly recommend this product.

Thought it was too good to be true. I bought 2 of them but had to pay for the delivery twice. Then when they came they were Transcend not Kingston. I could return them, but would I get my delivery cost refunded? I unpacked one and it seems to work OK, so I'll live with them. In my opinion it's mis-selling and if you want Kingston don't buy these.
