Firstly, this backpack looks just like a regular backpack - it doesn't scream out 'camera bag.' Camera gear stored inside is extremely well protected - the bag has tons of padding and, in fact, the backpack is quite rigid even when empty (it is the padding that does this). Mine holds a Nikon D80/lens with ease, even with the optional battery grip fitted. There are then 3 individual padded compartments, each of which being capable of holding a small/medium lens, or they could be amalgamated to hold a longer lens, etc. There are two further slimmer compartments, capable of holding flash etc. There are 2-3 zipped compartments, plus a couple of small pockets for holding SD cards (or similar). I have a lowepro slingshot 200AW for my dSLR and love it so thought I'd get this bag for my Canon Ixus 860IS. Intially when I saw it, I was shocked at it's tiny size (I can almost cover it up clasped between both my hands)! But my worries were for nothing as the camera fits like a glove! Not too tight that you have to yank the camera out, not too loose that it'll rattle around. When you open up the bag, there are two compartments, one for the camera and another for bits and bobs... there's also a card holder and a little netting holder in the bag. I've manage to put 1 spare battery, 1 spare SD card and a SD USB card reader inside and it all zips up tightly and secure. Can prob fit more in without problem. Construction ... Read More:

Great backpack, can carry many different lenses and has waterproof cover. can fit a lot of stuff in here.

Perfect case for my Canon HF100 camcorder - snug fit so that the camcorder doesn't rattle around and sufficient padding for the inevitable knocks and bumps. Enough space for a spare battery and a couple of SDHC cards.... and all for just over £12 delivered. Bargain! This now makes carting a camcorder around so much easier and more discreet. No complaints from me whatsoever....

This is an excellent rucksack which will both protect your beloved camera, a couple of lenses and small accessories, and still have space for some snacks/clothes/water or whatever you might need for your trip. You can even fix a tripod on the outside if you wish. It's perhaps more suited to a day hike than a long trek, although does fit a surprising amount in, and is very versatile. (I've often carried a tin of corned beef instead of a third lens!) The design is really superb - it seems like everything has been thought of. The quick access sturdy zip-up flap on the side, for accessing your camera without taking off the bag, is my favourite feature! This bag is quite large compared to the camera plus one lense bag that I've used in the past. I bought it because it was reduced and because I anticipate buying some extra lenses in the future. I have managed to fit my DSLR camera and kit lens (D60), plus my compact (Canon Ixus 75), both battery chargers, 5 memory cards, USB leads, spare battery, and even a book (loose in the top) into this bag and it's still only half full. The lens pockets are a handy size for other things and there are loads of pockets and slots for all the equipment I will buy in the future. The bag is well made, using good quality materials. I like the design as it is practical and not too big to carry as a shoulder bag when travelling etc.

I bought this bag but was unsure if it would be suitable for all my gear: 40D 100-400L with hood 24-70L with hood 10-20 Siggy with hood. Cables, charger, spare batteries, memory cards etc etc. I received the bag today and am please to say the gear fits in perfectly. Very snug, but not cramped, and very well protected. The method for twisting the bag round to access the camera works brilliantly. I'm very pleased indeed. I'd recommend this to anyone considering a new backpack.

This bag is well up to the high standards of finish and design from Lowepro products. It takes my D80 with grip and VR18-200 attached, along with 3 other lenses,filters,hoods,charger etc. I like to be able to access equipment without doing a "handbag rummage". This bag allows me to pack gear so that it is both secure and accessible. I can see the sense behind the reverse open lid, but must admit it's taking me some time to get used to it (old dog-new tricks syndrome).

As stated on product, the specifications are 7cm x 3.5cm x 12cm with some stretch, not as described in the dimensions as bigger. The consequence is a useless pouch in my case. It's worth noting that returns other than to Amazon mean a loss of postage paid which is why it's not worth returning to the seller for a refund.

Purchased one of these for a forthcoming trip "Downunder" Didn't want to use my Lowepro shoulder bag due to having to manage other luggage. The Fastpack easily accomodates my EOS 5D and 3 lens, one of which is attached to the body, still leaving room for another lens or in my case the battery charger in the camera section. The top section will take my iPod, headphones and other bits with ease, I may even have some room for the odd tee shirt and I have somewhere to put a bottle of water....great. Well made product, comfortable to wear and very suitable for my needs, a product that I will get a lot of use from. Peter
