It's the best thing there is out there at this price point. It's as simple as that. The drivers are well coded, the support is exemplary and the quality of the audio is crystal. If you need more than 24bit/96KHz, then there is a higher model, but for me personally, I think anything higher is not necessary (expecially if you're mixing down to 16bit/44.1) On top of all this, it has Midi I/O and SPDIF. What are you still reading this for? Go and buy one!

I have an Evolution midi keyboard and wanted to use it with Garageband. Bought this interface, downloaded the latest drivers and it was as simple as that. Tinkling away in Garageband. Worked first time and never been a problem with it. Good length cables too! and the LED's show you its powered and working. Usually lots of used ones available , so grab a bargain.

I bought this as a replacement for my minidisc, but the recordings have loads more hiss than the minidisc, when you record with a microphone, and subsequently is a bit of a let down... For lining-in things, it's brilliant, and being able to drag and drop via USB is also brilliant. This side of things makes it much better than minidisc. Hiss and noise isn't a problem here. But wandering about recording everyday stuff with my usual mics, seems to show up much more hiss than I ever got with minidisc.
