I bought this from MHP Computer Services; given that this is a generic item, my comments might not apply those supplied by other vendors. Although the item description doesn't mention a driver CD, it did in fact come with a mini-CD in the packaging. But there were no instructions and the CD contained drivers for about a dozen different products, with no indication which was which. Eventually I worked out that I needed to run "USB TO RS232.exe" in the directory "\DRIVER\DATA CABLE DRIVER\USB Interface Link DRIVER\USR2309A(PL-2303)" before plugging in the cable. I bought this charger for my 80Gb Classic i-pod. Unfortunately, within 5 minutes of putting my i-pod on charge, the unit blew and also tripped the switch for that electrical circuit. Luckily, my i-pod was not damaged but I'd be vary wary of ordering this product. Possibly it might be fine for other items. In fairness, I had excellent service from the seller and received an immediate full refund once they were informed.
