I received this item as an unexpected Christmas present last year, and I have to say its excellent. Its very simple to operate using the touchscreen menus and setting a route can be done quickly and efficiently. The cockpit menu can be customised, I use it to display my current speed, miles left to destination and time to destination. The directions are clear and precise, the maps easy to follow. The GPS signal is picked up quickly and is very consistent and accurate. The unit also has speed camera locations programmed into it. It also acts as an MP3 player, there is a memory card slot on the side. This is a useful feature, although it cannot play at the same time as using the satnav function. Read More:

Had it about two weeks now and after initial teething problems that were mostly my own doing it works well. Mio Mapping V3 seems fine. Check out the spec as the one on Mio web site appears to be wrong; they do not include a uk mains adaptor and the head phone socket is 2.5 not 3.5mm. Make sure to use the dedicated USB cable to synchronize as my own would not work, probably not same connections. Get the mapping working before you load your own contacts and calendar as Mio wants to search for all your post codes. Managed to load Memory Map OS5 (Ordnance Survey 1:50k) with settings : Manufacturer NMEA Model NMEA 0183, RMC Port COM2: GPS_COM Baud 57600 I found these on Mio 560 Forum and they work but they do not seem to be the recommended settings. ... A Superb buy. This system find the smallest little hamlets in france and since buying it a month ago must have saved us nearly the purchase price in fuel costs and time saved. It is so easy to set up and the instructions are clear and concise. The keyboard is in the querty style, the first one I have seen of this type and once you start typing in the name of a town or village it gives suggestions thus once again a time saver. No complaints at all though I must point out that I dont use the MP3 player or the bluetooth.

Very good all round phone /gps / pda good for info storing and using, I use a tomtom nav 6 for gps which works well, not easy for a texting or camera phone, but then again, i dont use it for those features!!
