I bought Navigon 2110 Max from Amazon.co.uk with next day delivery and it arrived on time. The device itself is good. It connects to the sattelite very quickly and nicely navigates throughout the journey. I've done a long trip from London to Weymouth via Stonehenge and it did work well. I bought speed camera subscription, 24 month maps update and TMC info and it seems to be a good investment. The lane assistant, voice guidance and real view pro work good. Easy to use, the only downfall is the address input window which is slow, but it doesn't cause anuy problems. I like Favourites and Last destinations list which saves plenty of time. I also like the "take me home" button which I was missing on my old Navman.

I bought the new 2210 direct from Navigon as there are a few stock issues with it, also bought it without reading a proper review, but hey someone's got to be first! A compact box houses the sat-nav, charge lead (incorporating the traffic aerial), USB cable and suction mounts and cradle. A case would have been appreciated as its bound to get scratched. I previously had a Garmin Nuvi 350 and the GTM12 traffic receiver and really wanted something equal or better to that so it had to have TTS, Europe maps and have traffic. The 2210 has all of these and is much faster calculating and drawing the routes which is what you'd expect from a newer satnav. The unit itself is very compact and sleek and is not much bigger than the screen. Read More:

Downloaded Q3/2008 Western Europe maps (available on Navigon website; £55 incl. 24 month updates) & did a software update through Navigon FRESH. Unit sturdy (as is the windscreen holder), great widescreen, very easy to operate, maps seem accurate where I needed them, incl. I bought one of these in April, to replace a Garmin Nuvi 660 which was stolen from my car. Impressed by the looks and features, I thought the Navigon would be a good buy. Wrong. Poor user interface, difficult to use (it's not intuitive at all, and the touchscreen is rubbish so you have to tap repeatedly to get what you want) Dashboard mount fell apart, TMC doesn't work, battery only lasts an hour, maps are well out of date, and bluetooth has problems with phone syncing. Another thing - the routing engine is bizarre - it often takes you on convoluted routes so that journeys take much longer than they should (and I do have all the correct route settings in place). Pluses: Excellent screen, decent screen mount and the one free map up date. Easy to use, add route/way points, uses NAVTEQ mapping and has lane assistance. Negative: The box could have done with including the USB mini B (5 pin) cable that you require to attach it to a PC to register the device and receive or buy updates. Also it is a shame Pro versions of Lane Assistance and Reality View not available on this model. Comparable to hgiher model TomToms but cheaper! Use it for a bit before deciding whether to get Reality View. Be aware that RV is also offered bundled with the Fresh Map Quarterly Updates that can be purchased.
