Netgear defines quality when it comes network switches(at a fair price). I've not come across another company that has set customer expectations as follows: "your network will be up and running in 10-15mins". From opening the package to connecting 5 network units took less than 7 mins and all worked fine first time. No noise, no fans, auto senses 100Mb and Gb network devices, gets a bit warm but nothing to worry about; could not be happier. Only negative is that it worked so well so quickly, I just did not get enough time to play with it. Had four computers accessing a storage device, the transfer rates were excellent, the switch took everything I threw at it - certainly proved it was not going to be the weakest link ... Read More:

Took five mins to plug in and download drivers for Vista and away we went, I've had no problems and all going well. Great bit of kit for great price.

I've had this card for around 3 weeks and my computer has been freezing up every couple of hours. My PC is a very high spec (Dell XPS420) with Windows Vista Ultimate, so no problems there. I got one blue screen which told me that the problem was undiagnosed, but "related to wireless networking". No prizes for guessing the culprit there then! Netgear seem to be feigning ignorance about this issue, as so many users online have complained about the same issue but Netgear won't acknowledge the problem on their website, and don't publish any fix. No doubt this issue will be fixed in their next product release, requiring users stuck with the issue to go and buy another Netgear product! Won't be doing that myself! My ... Read More:

I've spent money on VOIP phones and with VISTA bugging with them all the time decided to buy the Netgear. Plug in and use it - how easy? I'm impressed with it despite the dodgy ringtones. There aren't any alternatives yet unless you want to spend £100's. So if you want a phone that's permanently logged into skype regarless of computer being on this is the phone for you.

In answer to the above poster wanting to know why this thing has a European plug and a UK adapter? Well if you have purchased it from Pixmania, the supplier on this site, that is probably the reason. They sell equipment destined for Mainland Europe in the UK. Its quite a well known problem with the company.
