I again read other reviews on these and went through a "shall I shan't I" phase? Anyway I took the plunge and am glad I did, these are super little bino's I have joined the insect world in CLARITY with pin sharp easy focusing, while being great for bird watching as well. Also lightweight with a rubber coating, ideal for travel. Thanks Pentax

I've just bought my third Optio WP. My original (5MP and good to 1.5m) got trashed following a very annoying shallow water mistake - opening the camera underwater is not a good thing to do. The second (7MP and good for 3m) is still going strong despite being squashed between me and a very slippery rock as I fell unceremoniously into the sea. It's got some very deep scratches, but other than that is fine. It's been taken underwater on more than a hundred occasions and still remains watertight. It's definitely been taken deeper than 3m - albeit briefly - and has stayed in the water for stretches of over an hour. I think this camera is a great all rounder if you're after a simple point and shoot that delivers fantastic quaity images. I have tested it using the wide range of shooting options and I am impressed. Smaller than a packet of cigs it has a comparitively large lcd screen with a crystal sharp picure and an easy to use menu system. Being a bloke I typically got on with playing without using the manual and had no problems at all. I would recommend this camera a handy, small all rounder that easily slips into your pocket.

These are lightweight, compact and don't weigh me down on a long walk, so they are binoculars that actually get used. The image is bright and clear, with the close focus ability being far more useful than I expected, eg. perfect for that unusual butterfly that happens to land on the path in front of you. I think they're great.

Like the previous reviewer, I initially intended to use these for stargazing, and have used them very successfully (once) for viewing meteors. However, despite receiving them as a Christmas gift in '06, I haven't used them much until recently, when I've started watching birds and animals from the windows of our house. I'm extremely impressed. As a kid, I owned a pair of high quality Swift 12x50s. I used them a lot at the coast, watching yachts and ships at sea. I found them to be decent, if not exactly spectacular during low light conditions. By comparison, these Pentax XCF 10x50s are a revelation. The 10x50 magnification / lense-diameter ratio makes a big difference in image brightness, aided even further by the high quality optics and BAK-4 prisms. The ... Read More:

Not the most exciting piece of kit but your lovely little camera won't work without one, so having a charged spare battery at hand can be a lifesaver. Battery life on the Optio S is generally very good but if you are going on a trip where opportunities to charge up are going to be limited buy a spare now. Nothing is more irritating than your camera packing up halfway round somewhere amazing. Charge time is very quick and it keeps charged up for weeks when not in use.

I have just purchased these binoculars from Amazon and am very pleased with them. They are very good quality and were delivered within 48 hours of purchase using Supersaver delivery! They are ideal for most uses from Aviation, Birdwatching/Wildlife to Astronomy. The view quality is bright and focusing is quick and easy. The only problem I've had is getting the bottom lens caps off quickly as the binoculars are in a rubberised casing! But not a real big problem! I would recommend the Pentax XCF 12x50 Binoculars to everyone and Amazon's price is by far the cheapest around!

The screen is large and clear, and the pictures clear and bright. A great camera for someone not habitually taking pictures. The only downside for me was that there is no case - even a basic one - included. It needs a small leather, close-fitting case to protect it from bumps. I'd recommend it as value for money.
