it took me a while to get all the cables i need for recording but when its all setup its a brilliant piece of kit highly recommended for gamers it does record in pal 50 but if you download amcap you can get it to record in pal 60 quality is also very good the software you get with it is rubbish for recording gaming would of preferd to get studio 11 or 12 but overall it is a good product xbox live gamers get it now! oh and 1 more thing dont waste your money on the platinum edition its not worth it this dazzle is just as good!! thanks! gt:chris 0wn3d u

Having taken a great deal of camcorder footage on a recent touring holiday in Canada, I turned to my long owned(but little used)Pinnacle Studio 9 editing package. After some initial difficulty,I eventually captured the project into the software. That's when the problems started! It took many,many attempts to edit the first hour of video because of repeated hangups/crashes, which meant computer restarts each time. However,after sheer dogged determination, and taking each editing process very slowly, I achieved the desired edit and moved on to the movie capture stage to start the process of transfer to DVD. Out of the box, and installed on a top spec computer running Vista, there were some immediate problems - clips were freezing and rendering was not working well. The advice from the handbook was to check for updated drivers for everything - including a search for patches on Pinnacle's website. This was done and multi-megabyte upgrades were downloaded. Windows update did not find any new drivers for the graphics card - but on Nvidia's website there was a new driver. Pinnacle posted a patch in October - some months after I had bought my copy - so it looks like gremlins had been reported - and fixed. Since then everything has worked perfectly - HD as well! I brought this product 4 weeks ago, its brilliant. l have been using it to Record TV and Camcorder footage to a hard drive. The wonderful thing about it is l can put recordings onto my newphews PSP and my ipod, and you dont have to be a clever clogs to do it. Actually, l must say, l am away quite often and have to do my bit to meet clients in the evening, so l take it with me and record TV programs from hotel television, straight to my hard drive and watch it when l get back in. THIS IS A MUST HAVE.

I've had this stick for around 6 months now. Upon installation on Vista (32 bit), I only installed the driver and not the viewing software. Pinnacle want a subscription for getting program listings every day, when Windows Media Center does this for nothing and I find it really good and easy to use anyway. The stick comes with a useless small ariel connection, for using the included ariel and also an adaptor for using a standard tabletop or roof ariel. This adaptor sticks out a fair bit and is therefore quite easy to break (yes, mine's is broken already). So in conclusion, the stick produces a good picture and sound, but dont use the pinnacle tv software and unless you're going to leave the ariel plugged in all the time, do expect the adaptor connection to break.

have installed this product om my laptop it seems to be fine, there is only to problems i have found so far and that is 1. it takes ages to render so i turned off render in background and it seems fine now.2 magic bullet doas not work it says i need to update graphics card have done this and still it will not work maybe i need a new graphice card?. i have burnt a 15 min disc to see what it was like and it aint bad. anything you have purchased for pinnale 11 will import into 12 easy.now is it worth upgrading to 12 from 11 if your happy with 11 why upgrade ,but having been a fan of pinnalce since stuido 8 , 9 11.yes i did upgrade , will need to upgrade graphics card but might have a new pc built just for pinnalce. if i was to give a score out of 10 ... I have been looking at reviews for psp software,i wanted something easy as i am not a computer whizz kid.I wanted a psp to watch movies and catch up on tv progs at work.Most reviews do put me off,so I decided on this software package as it had no reviews and it did look easy.Amazon again sent it very quick,they are really good.I put the disc in the drive and folowed the intructions,didn't take long at all.When I select the icon on my desktop alittle screen comes up,very simple,it even has a tutorial,I only had a quick look at this as it really is simple.I put a dvd in i have recorded on,select the content i want,where it will go,press start and that is it,so easy even I can use it.I don't know about speed,I saw in other reviews that some software is slow,but I was happy with ... I was slightly underwhelmed by the performance of this piece of kit considering its price. I've tried quite a few cheaper external soundcards already and they mostly perform better than this one. The signal recorded is not particular clean - not terrible but not as good as some cheaper soundcards. I experienced some latency problems - not severe, but again, cheaper soundcards from other manufacturers performed better in this area too. On the positive side, this is a relatively cost effective way to record an instrument (guitar perhaps) and vocals at the same time. To be fair, it does what it says on the tin, just not quite as well as I had hoped.
