Electronics : Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset
This is great. This is my 4th or 5th Bluetooth headset and it is better than products from the handset manufacturers. Fit is excellent, sound and noise cancellation are first class, voice dialing works well, controls are small (as on all bluetooth headsets)but perfectly useable. An excellent buy and very remarkable value for money. Oh, and it works really well with my Sony Ericsson k850i.

Everyone of my customers who called me on skype complained that they couldn't hear me! The headset is absolutely rubbish!

The headset is fine insofar as it accurately captures sound - I'm handicapped and need a headset for Dragon speech recognition software. But, the headphones hug/enclose the ears so that it's hard to hear oneself talk, and I don't like that. Apparently they were designed with gamers in mind. I find that the size settings on the headphones alter every time I put them on, which is a bit of a ******; I have only one good hand.

I purchased this headset after reading the generally positive reviews. I have to say, I am very, very underwhelmed.

The sound quality is abysmal, far worse than other Bluetooth headsets I have owned. Even in a quiet room people I am calling complain that it sounds like there is severe static on the line and that I have a "tinny quality" to my voice. The call quality on my end is no better.

Using the headset with a computer and VoIP produces choppy and uneven sound, static and lots of gaps. Note: this is not because of the Internet connection (100mb); if I switch to a different headset I get crystal clear sound.

I'm hoping that it is simply my particular headset which is the problem; we shall see as I am sending ... Read More:

Purchased this device a month or so ago and have only just got around to setting it up. Got a little stuck within the first 5 mins. as we were missing the user manual but contacted the seller and he promptly sent it over in a PDF. You need to make sure you have your current phone user manual too but all in all it's pretty straight forward. The signal is not brilliant if you want to go walking round the garden but for what I want it for it's perfect. Can rabbit away and still get on with some chores, i.e. cooking or washing up so no more time wasting when I'm catching up with people. A brilliant piece of kit!

Last week my rating for this headset would have been 4 stars. The sound quality is really very good and the loss of a star simply reflects the awkward to handle collapsing configuration and the lack of some kind of tellback on the inline volume control - I was caught out a couple of times thinking that Skype had gone dead on me when I had simply leant on the "-" volume control, zeroing it. From this week I dock a further 2 stars - the lefthand earpiece has failed after just over 12 months of use. This fault has also been reported by a couple of other reviewers, so something is wrong.

Delivered to door in 27 hours from ordering it thru home-phoneshop.

Arrived with three earloops (s/m/l) + two over the headbands (one cushioned, one swiveled). It is so light, I am using the earloop for hour long conversations just fine.

Using with Skype 3.1.0.152 on PC and u CAN hang up thru the headset Talk button OK.

Don't seem to need to plug transformer in, works fine off 500mA powered USB off back of monitor - one less cable.

Had a Olympia Dualphone Skype handset a couple of years which this was to replace that, but the two work together fine so I won't throw away Dualphone just yet.

Works fine. Long range. Well made. Look cool - I have always wanted to be a Borg ;-)

I bought this headset for use primarily with a PC-based language course (Rosetta Stone Polish). Unfortunately, for this particular usage, the headset isn't brilliant. The arm for the microphone is simply not adjustable enough to get the microphone positioned exactly where it needs to be for the sound analysis part of Rosetta Stone to pick up the sound reliably enough. I therefore have to hold the arm of the microphone to get my voice picked up by the software for the comparison with a native speaker to match accurately. Before anyone suggests it, yes I have adjusted the audio settings in Control Panel to see if that helps. With the arm held in the correct place the microphone is great. The headset is also great for listening. The only problem is that the arm is not adjustable enough. ... Read More:
