Cheaper than most other brands I have bought and unlike a lot of them Ricoh music cds all play on my portable cd player. I did get the 50 spindle from Amazon for about £4.70 which was really cheap but looks like only 25 spindles available now and even though works out dearer would still buy. Definite recommend.

I have bought this case for Ricoh R8, and am quite happy for its quality. Leather is nice and smooth. The case has belt loop (at the other side of the picture shown). The downside of this case is that the case is little tight for R8 (I expanded the case little). Also there is no SD card holder/space (I do recommend to purchase high capacity SD card for this reason). The picture on amazon looks brown colour but actually very burgundy colour (classy though). Overall, it is good product but could have been better.

Caplio R7- Purchased in March 2008. Inside 2 days lens started jamming. Returned & repaired - took 1 month. Since then I have had 3 replacements all for the same fault - camera cannot focus and shutsdown! Each time I was without the camera for 4 to 6 weeks. Wouldn't buy another Ricoh.

Ricoh R8 is excellent if you are looking for a small size quality camera for its reasonable price(I know many professional use this camera for their alternative of SLR (or Ricoh GR, Leica etc). Photography novice like me can enjoy their easy to use functions, especially "macro" function (it also auto-focuses like good SLR). I have used this camera for over 6months but never had any problem.

I had a Caplio R2 many years ago, and when I was to change my FujiFilm i naturally checked out the Ricoh range, which I think outbattles all competitors in small pocket cameras - especcially when it comes to objective zoom. I am very pleased with the performance of this camera. It is a great point-and-shoot camera, but most suited for good lighted conditions. In bad lightning it usually is enough to do a little change to the exposure compensation to maintain good usable pictures. Here the great quick-access-joystick comes in handy. With this joystick, you can quickly access four of your favorite settings (you choose them yourself).
