I bought this for my uncle who has a Compaq PC (bought from PC World) with integrated graphics. It's not the fastest PC in the world and there was a program I'd written for him in OpenGL that he wanted to use. It wa working OK on his machine, but a little slow, and I suspected it was to do with graphics as opposed to central processing.

I bought this and found out I was correct. Disabling the integrated graphics and using this low-end card has made a major difference to the way this specific OpenGL application works. Everything is faster and a lot smoother, animations, translations and rotations are swift and look about 10 times better than before.
