I bought this in February. Was proper pleased with it. The size, build quality, sound (once you turned the setting up), ease of use were all fantastic. I used my choice of media player, Winamp, to update the player. It was a breeze. I'd put some new Pitchfork recommended indie on it in the evening and rock (see gently sway) it on the bus to and from work. Sometime's I'd even sneak a listen in work if the boss was away!! Anyway the battery life was great. No problem at all. I owned a nano for 3 years and this was just as good - a little more hassle to navigate but definitely not £70 worth of hassle! I chose to buy a Sandisk SD card because Sandisk have a good reputation for quality and reliability and I take so many photos that this was really important. I bought my card just under a year ago and until last week, it worked a treat. I used it in my Canon IXUS 800IS, and as far as speed etc. goes you couldn't fault it. The USB functionality is also extremely handy as you can drop photos off onto a PC without having to worry about carrying your camera lead around everywhere with you. The card itself feels a bit flimsy though, I have to say - I always took care to be very gentle with it and not bend it too much. Still, I was very happy with it... I wanted a high capacity, quality built, low-priced USB flash memory key, and this fits the bill. The price is good for 4GB, and Sandisk have a good reputation for quality (I have many of their SD cards). I like the small size and sliding USB connection, so you don't need a cap. It seems a little flimsy in construction, but then most memory keys seem to be. I was quite happy to accept that it had U3 applications pre-installed although I didn't need/want these. I knew that I could uninstall U3 and turn it back into a simple, high-capacity memory device. However, it failed to work on both my home PCs (both running XP) - they locked up requiring a reboot. This is clever and works perfectly on my PC. However, it's thicker than a standard SD card and wont fit in my mobile phone (Nokia 6230i). So, no photo snapping on my phone and easy transfers to my PC for me.
