Having owned an Ipod that continually crashed, and a Zen that always froze this player is fantastic.Easy to use, fantastic sound quality, great display and good quality head phones that stay in my ears when jogging! Its a real bargain. Some people have complained about the charging time but I have never found a problem. I listen to and from work about 1 hour everyday and I probably charge once a week. This player is a cut abouve the Sony Walkman and most players in this price range on the market.

I bought this unit because, after 20 years of flawless Dreamachine use, when considering an upgrade to DAB, Sony way my first choice. I like the style of the unit, and the sound of the DAB audio is amazing. I also love the automatic setting of the time, even if it does not sync with the BBC. (To be fair I don't know if this is the unit, the BBC or the time signal being sent over the DAB "airwaves" so I won't blame Sony for that one.) But I do have some gripes: 1. Like a number of previous reviewers have noted, this thing goes off randomly at midnight, for no apparent reason. I'm going to contact Sony about it to see what they do. Bought this model nearly 3 weeks ago, and love the styling, quality build and what sold it to me was the Bravia 2 engine and 33000:1 ratio, which is better than most more expensive top range models. Obviously Sony's outstanding reputation is speaks for itself. Unfortunately I have been experiencing blurring pictures, white lines and not matter what I do trying to get a clear and sharp picture is becoming tasking. Every day I have fiddled with the settings but always get pixelation or something when watching football or sports. I just cannot get a consistent picture, even with my Sky digibox linked up with a gold Ixos scart lead. I will now work through the Bravia handbook for help. these are brilliant I've had them a good while now and go running on average twice a week. they've never slipped out or become uncomfortable and the sound quality is very good, they also block out a fair amount of other noise too which means the music doesnt need to be too loud. all in all a great pair of headphones for exercising in and good value for money in my opinion.

I was absolutely amazed when the item was delivered on the following day fist class recorded having ordered it on 3rd October and was told to expect it on the 13th, well done Niche and Royal Mail! The player is easy to use but the display is on the small side and requires good light to view. The buttons are OK but the multiple function fast forward, stop, pause/play and reverse all on one button are not as convenient as single function buttons. This player replaced a Goodmans player that failed only after about 18 months, but the buttons on this were much more user friendly.

These are some very confortable and very good looking pair of headphones. Unfortunately (despite of the positive ratings) the sound if far from good. I bought a pair of these yesterday and have been A-B'ing them with my old and much cheaper Philips SHE2550 and the Sony doesn't stand a change. There's a total lack of middle range (which translates into no presence in the sound) and upper range (no sharpness). It feels like you're listening to music through a tiny box. No strength, no snap, no hiss, no "shh". The bass is acceptable though. Everything else is just sad. Avoid them. I'll try to have them refunded.
