Although FM reception is good, I found AM very poor - lots of noise and virtually no reception when product is held upright. Tape quality is good as expected. Controls are fiddly - too few buttons. Battery life good, especially considering only takes 1 X AA. Design of battery compartment poor though - after using for about 18 months, broke after dropping a couple of feet, rendering it virtually unusable. Would not buy this product again.

Having been through several sets of Sony headphones over the past year or so (MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia, MDR-E818LP & MDR-W08L) I've got to say these are the best I've found so far. Pros; Snug and comfortable fit Excellent sound response - both at low and high frequencies Don't distort at high levels Look stylish and cool Cheap to buy and good build quality Cons; None I can think of so far! The other models I listed above were either uncomfortable, dislodged themselves and fell out after prolonged use and didn't offer decent sound quality. Highly recommended!!

I bought this radio recorder for a friend who is partially sighted. It's perfect, the buttons are big and it's very easy to use at an affordable price.

I first purchased the Lumix TZ5 after discovering that it took HD video footage and soon found out it was a mere after thought as it definitely needed ironing out! First few problems where evident as it made a horrific grinding sound that was recorded every time you zoomed in and out not to mention the tortoise like speed of the zoom function whilst videoing. It also had Mono sound recording and most importantly you can only take 10 minutes or so on a 4GB Card whereas you can capture 50 Minutes of the same quality 720p video footage with the Sony and yes with very high quality stereo sound! This is due to the fact that the Sony is compressing the video whilst capturing it (V impressive). Any way this is about the T500 and my goodness ... Read More:

The surround sounds is fantastic and makes you feel as if you are actually in a cinema. playing audio is brilliant, its crystal clear and sounds perfect, subwoofer is no joke, it will make you move. It's cheap and 10 times cheaper than a decent MP3 recorder (like a zoom multitrack) so it's worth getting for recording music lessons and quick demos of ideas and most people still have a tape player so you can play your ideas back to them. But it's a quite hissy and tinny. Even listening through headphones there's not much base response. It's very plasticky and doesn't feel like it'll put up with loads of knocks. However, for around £25 inc postage, you'll not be too bothered if it gets lost or damaged, not like if you've just forked out £200 on an MP3 recorder! I'll have to see if it lasts now as it'll be living in my guitar bag from now on and I may try it with another mic

As I travel a lot and like to listen to world service I was looking for a small portable radio, with a built in alarm clock but which also received short wave. Thats easier said than done as radios seem to have gone out of fashion and everyone seems to sell gadgets with too many features. This radio fitted my requirements perfectly, its lightweight, tiny, folds in 2 so is more resistant to falling on the floor, has a little snooze light so you can check the time in the dark and gets excellent short wave reception. You don't even have to change the time as you tell it the time zone and the time adujsts automatically.
