Just what i was looking for. Dual alarms, so you dont have to hit the snooze button 5 times before you get out of bed. Both alarms can be set differently [radio comes on at 645, if your still not up, buzzer can go off at 0700] and both are extremely easy to set. great radio receiver and decent quality sound. glad i bought the right one after searching through amazons selection.

This laptop was an upgrade from my dell inspiron 6400, and my first experience with Vista (something I was unwilling to try for a long time). The FW11E is an impressive notebook to look at, very sleek design. I do like the latch-less design, and the power button on the hinge. However, as one of the previous reviewers mentioned, I don't really understand how Sony made the mistake of placing all 3 USB ports in the same area, which also turns out to be one of the worst areas to place a USB port in the first place! Its perfectly fine if you don't use a mouse, but the USB plugs do get in the way if you do what a lot of people decide to do when using the laptop at home, which is plug in a mouse, and several other USB peripherals. ... Thanks to the very specific reviews on Amazon in respect of looking for the Mk2 (thanks guys on .com) I took a leap of faith and bought this, and I'm glad to say it has delivered what I needed for my iPhone 3G. I hate having to faff-around and was in the position of having to remove the silicone skin I have on the phone to put it into the 3G dock at night (even though it is quite thin). For me it's rendered the official dock (and extra cost!) rather obsolete but that's another story... The adjustable wheel on this Sony has solved the problem and has allowed me to listen to all my podcasts easily. Functionality to drive the phone through the remote control is better than expected and it charges fine. Read More:

This is a great drive that burns both DVDs and CDs quickly. It's easy to install on both Windows Vista and Ubuntu Linux. Excellent value for money.

I was nervous that this would not work because I was aware that when a cassette goes into my stereo it moves downwards behind a small metal plate - I was therefore concerned the cable would be cut or jammed - it wasn't a problem. It does work best with the iPOD volume on full, rather than the stereo volume high up - there is a bit of hissing in between songs, but I guess that was always the case with tapes!! I would recommend this product for those that want to use their iPOD in the car

I used this machine for recording interviews as part of my social science studies and, although considerably cheaper when I bought mine, it is a good basic tape recorder with good sound quality and an excellent range. I don't see any point spending more money if this is the kind of thing you are going to use it for.
