This card does exactly what you expect of it - just put it in your device (I use mine in an ARCHOS605 but it will fit hundreds of devices) and it works straight away. It's excellent value for money at around £20. Just think what this amount of memory would have cost you just 5 years ago! Marvellous! There are bound to be rogue batches of EVERY electrical device - so don't be put off by negative reviews - this one's a winner! :¬)

Tried this in the above camera and just to let you know: It dosnt work. I am going to buy a 2Gb to see if that works! I dont have any other devices that can use SD cards at the moment.

I bought 3 of these cards a couple of months ago, to use in my Canon G7 and to transfer data between computers. I put the cards in a card reader to transfer photos from the camera, rather than use the camera cord. I have now thrown one away as it had repeated problems being read on different computers (luckily I lost no data), and am now about to throw away a second, as it has just started having the same problems (unluckily I lost some holiday photos). This means that I cannot trust the third one and will probably have to throw that away as well, as I use the camera for work, and if it fails on me, it will cost me significantly to retake the photos (if I can retake the photos). I specifically wanted a 16GB card to go with my Panasonic HDC-SD9 camcorder. In my opinion, there's not much point going for anything smaller if you want to shoot in full HD - this card is good for 2 hours' recording at the highest quality HD and 4 hours at "normal" HD. Having used it quite regularly for about five weeks so far, the card seems to be of good quality - I regularly remove and replace the card, and there's no sign of wear and tear on the contacts, as you would expect. Having the USB reader is a very useful bonus. I already own one of those multi-card USB readers, so I didn't strictly need this as such, but because it is a dedicated SD-only reader it is obviously much smaller and slots easily into my camera bag. Got one of these to use in my dSLR (Nikon D60), I can fit just over 600 images on this at max resolution, when shot in RAW and JPEG. Works well, by a good brand, just make sure your device is SDHC compliant before getting one of these. Any smaller a capacity, and you'd need to be carrying several cards when away on a photographic weekend. For this reason, and the good price I gave it 5 stars.

I bought this card for my Canon EOS 400D, and I was pleased to see when I turned the camera on that it cheerfully displayed "1587" to show me how many raw shots could be recorded before I'd have to change cards. Woohoo! Having bought a 2Gb SanDisk Extreme IV with the camera, I didn't want to spend a fortune on spare cards so I did some research on the web to find out exactly how fast a card needs to be before the write speed of the camera falls short of the card and you are paying for "unused extra speed". I have found it difficult to find accurate sources on the web but it seems that a 133x card should be more than adequate for storing data as fast as an EOS 400D can supply it. Which of course means a less congested buffer and more shots in a row in burst ... Read More:
