I recently replaced my entire hi-fi as it was getting on a bit, and along with Cambridge Audio A740 amp and C740 CD player, it's a fine sounding combo! I managed to audition them at home with a pair of KEF iQ5s, and these Tangents are far better sounding, not to mention a million times better looking! They seem to be close to what used to be described as 'Studio Monitor' speakers, appearing at first to be a bit 'inert' if that makes sense, but in truth, they simply relay the musical information to your ears ( and your feet! ) without adding much in the way of colouration. Needless to say for such large floorstanders, the bass is generous without being overpowering, with the proviso that Tangent recommends that they be allowed at ... Read More:
