I bought one of these recently and have found it to be absolutely ESSENTIAL for protecting my Sat-Nav. The tomtom fits in the case perfectly, but be sure to rotate the arm to the side as shown in the instructions. Also, I had no problems at all with the zip. There are cheaper options available elsewhere but I decided to go for this which is slightly more expensive as it is custom made. It is a very neat item and fits easily into a bag and the tomtom is well protected once inside the case. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the price - a little steep after shelling out £150 on the tomtom in the first place but an investment like that is worth protecting properley. I bought this product in Spain, driving back to Ireland through France. The quality of the map in Spain and France is very good. I had several customer meetings both in Madrid and Paris suburbs and the device got me there every time in the time scale predicted. The traffic camera alerts were useful and accurate. Once I got back to Ireland, I found the device to be pretty good, but not as accurate detail as in Continental Europe. There are no traffic camera alerts as far as I can tell. I was looking to plan a trip to Northern Ireland and there are some details lacking on the map, since I could not find the place names. I would advise anyone who has a Tom Tom One XL to go out and buy a nice case in Asda or Tesco to protect their Satnav. This case might be nice with the XL logo on the front, but it does not give ultimate protection more than any other case would at half the cost. You can buy a leather case at that price, which I have done. It definitely needs protection from scratches and falls but be clever and get yourself a normal case even from Dixons otherwise for the same protection, you will be paying megabucks to advertise free for Tom Tom One XL!

Although this charger is stated as being for TomTom ONE it is also compatible with TomTom GO X20s and X30s (my GO 730 is charging with it as I type this). As I travel a lot the worldwide changeable plug adaptors are a real boon and am surprised other manufacturers of rechargeable electronic gizmos haven't cottoned on to the idea. The USB cable is really unnecessarily heft making it slightly awkward to fold it up hence the 4 stars.

I bought this despite reading some rather dubious reviews and must say I'm very pleased with it! The case fits perfectly - a neat, compact little satnav with a neat compact case! Yes, it doesn't hold the charger etc. but I'm happy to leave this in the car and only really want to carry the unit itself around with me. For me, being able to charge the Tom Tom at home is essential so the mains charger is a must! A good price for the two items together so overall, value for money.

Poor poor item. My other half has the standard Tom Tom device and I actually prefer that. Raging about mine this evening as I had sat in a queue for forty minutes before it told me there was a problem - despite tapping my traffic column for updates numerous times. It then tried to direct me through town! A usual forty minute journey took two hours. It does not pick up usual traffic hotspots on my various journeys home either. I also find it cannot calculate a useful alternative route,and I am relying on my own knowledge, or that thing they call 'a map'. I bought the thing for home visits in my job but it doesn't seem to to be able to find its way out of the car park. So no, I don't like it.

Bought this model from Amazon in May 08, it started to lock up pretty soon after this. Would put it on charge and it would not start up, have only used it for a couple of journeys. Contacted Tomtom and they arranged for it to be sent back for repair. It is great when it works, which has not been to often. Just got it back from Tomtom and the report said it had replaced the main board. When I switched it on and reset my settings , I had an error message appear ? Anyway set it all up and then I noticed it had become a 920 T on splash screens and on a welcome screen, contacted tomtom and spoke to a woman, who had a suspicous American accent, probably a call centre in Bombay. We purchased this recently as an upgrade from an original 500. What a joke! The voice is inferior to that of the original and far less clear. We used it for 24 hours and found that when using a mobile phone on blue tooth the tomtom crashed and had to be restarted. Would not have been so bad, but on crashing, it loses all of your settings and you then have to spend time going through all the menus again. It does look more attractive than the "Fat Navs", but the looks come at a cost. You have to plug it in manually and then attach to the base, a lot more fiddly than the originals which just clip to base and go. It also has an inferior speaker and battery. I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to purchase a tomtom should look at the 500 or 700 we have one of each ... Read More:

I've only recently purchased a Tomtom, having gotten some work that takes me all over the country. The Tomtom I have, the cheapest model, has so far been invaluable and already justified its purchase. Now that the device has proved itself I feel defensive towards it and decided to buy it some protection! I looked at a number of cases that would protect my Tomtom and eventually plumped for this one as it had good reviews, its price was good, and the p&p wasn't half the product's cost :-) The delivery time was silly. I ordered the case on the Sunday 28th Sept 2008, Amazon gave me an estimated delivery of Thursday 2nd Oct at the earliest.. but in fact the product arrived on Tuesday 30th September. I fly a great deal to Ireland, this case is wonderful for placing my tom tom in my hand luggage to transport my tom tom to Ireland, case is big enough for all items.
