Play from any source- sound is fine. Buttons are easy to use, and it has a buttload of features BUT FIRST: Cuts off approximately the first half second of every song played back on a USB or SD. Can as a result lose the first two words of a song or screw up the listening tempo by starting on a offbeat. Weird, and unnecessary. SECOND: and possibly the most moronic condition of this player, is it doesn't remember where it left off, if turned off, it goes to the beginning of the track. If you're listening to a chapter in a book, and you have to stop the car, you're screwed. If you're rockin' to In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, and you have to stop the car, you're screwed. I use this device in my 6 year Honda Accord driving around the city and the reception is perfect. The frequency set at the moment has a distant transmission which is silenced as soon as the device is connected; the reproduction of my wma files is extremely good, contained on usb drives, ideally 1 or 2gb. The files are added using the "sync" in the windows music player and are automatically converted from lossless to 160kbs with windows player. Generally files are played randomly (a device option) and I set the volume on the player about 17- some files distort if played at a higher device volume, so experimentation is needed. I brought the lower model of this camera and it does work really well. But be prepared to find that it's NOT suitable for UK cars. The position of the screws on UK numberplates do not match the camera mount so something that should be easy to fit could take you hours. Even if the holes do match I suspect the police will soon pull you over for obscuring your numberplate. I'm considering returning mine as I'm left with a choice of having to drill holes into the bumper of my new new car. Nice idea, but they need to be designed the UK market.
