Having read some of the other reviews of this drive, I was a little bit hesitant as I ordered it. However, I'd installed it within ten minutes of reading the manual. There's plenty of storage on it (NB. that 80GB advertised on the box instantly becomes 75GB because of Windows gubbins but that can't be helped), data read-and-write is nice-and-fast and it's very quiet. I'm running Windows XP Professional and all I did was connect the new drive, insert the floppy disk which comes it, start up the computer and follow the instructions. You can create a drive from scratch, copy existing stuff from your current drive to the new one, or use your shiny new Western Digital as an extra hard drive. No muss, no fuss. I'd ... Read More:
