Ok the first thing to note is that this is a slow beast. Transfering data to/from this drive is a slow process BUT I've owned mine for 2 years and had no problems and the integrity of my data are still excellent. It's an unobtrusive (Almost stylish!) unit and takes up virtually no space. It's conveniently made to be narrower than a PC so it fits nicely atop the case. I didn't use any of the software enclosed - I just plugged it in, connected the USB cable and Windows Vista did the rest. I use it for weekly backups on a Sunday night (takes 1 hour to back up My Documents - that's how slow it is!) and it's very handy.

I bought this and regretted it as soon as I plugged it in. Sure it starts of quiet, but shortly you will be thinking a small aircraft is powering up its engines. A word of advice to people thinking it will be cool to access data around a friend's house or from work... don't. The speed is so slow that with a good broadband speed either end you need 4 mins per song for example just to open it. This does not stream like you might expect. As there is no direct connection to your computer (you have to connect through your router) it took 8 hours to copy across 30gb. I intend to send this back and I recommend that they change the technical specification. You can look at your files, but you sure as hell can't access them practically. ... Read More:
