Western Digital are awesome! I got their HDD (the 320GB Model) as a birthday present 2 yrs ago and I gotta tell ya it's great! Their drives are quiet, relatively quick - I say relatively because when it's not in use, the drive stops spinning, when you next access it you'll notice a second or two before your files show in windows explorer - and best of all I've had no problems. I use the 320GB as my Game drive and games run smoothly too. It was a couple of months later that I ordered a second 320GB model for my parents pc, and as far as I know, has been working perfectly also. I was expecting this to be quieter but it makes even slightly more noise than my old hard drive which is a Hitachi Deskstar 120GB, 7200RPM that came with a Dell pc that I bought in 2003. Actually it is not the level of noise but the characteristics of it. This one has a more distinguishable noise. My old hard drive's noise vanished under the fan noise but this one doesn't.
