I got this card as a cheaper gaming alternative for one of my machines - it plays CoD4, Bioshock and Crysis at almost max with no problems at all! The manufacturer states that the 850Mhz memory clock is 20% faster than the standard 8500GT all performance and benchmarking tests seem to confirm this and like all 8500GT's this is nVidia SLI ready, there is also full DirectX 10 Shader 4.0 features which bring out great graphical details on modern titles. To sum up this is a card for gamers on a budget and it does the job well. If you can afford to do so save up just a little bit more then go for a 8800GT if you can't then you should know that this is a fantastic alternative.

Attempted to buy a video card at what was clearly a very cheap price. Order was canceled by supplier without so much as an apology or an explanation. Ok, fair enough cancel the order (it was too cheap) but at least have the decency to explain your mistake. Price was corrected on the site and the new price is far higher than other sites. Do not buy this card from this vendor, shop around.

I have built many PC's over the years and had more trouble with this motherboard(I even got a replacement from the reseller so tried two) then any other component. If you check out the newsgroups , which I should have done before my purchase, you will find many users with problems like mine of hanging and crashing behaviour at intervals of 30 minutes at most, from day one of using this motherbaord. These mostly detail issues with the default Bios settings which apparently include inadequate voltage and memory settings, some users managed to make things a little more stable with alterations to these. I myself tried such as updating the Bios from the XFX site, updating the drivers , which incidentally seemed to makes ... Read More:
