I'm going to compare this player to the ipod touch which is what I had considered buying until I saw the price tag and compared the two models. This player is great overall. I initially bought it just as an mp3 player but after seeing how amazing the screen quality was, I've been using it to watch movies during my lunch breaks at work. The quality of the screen beats most mp3 players hands down even if it may be smaller than some that are out there; and this includes the ipod touch as the zen's screen has a better colour display (zen 16.7 million colours vs ipod touch's 64 thousand colours). OK, the iPod shuffle isn't by any means the most sophisticated mp3 player on the market: indeed without a screen there's nothing to allow you to select specific tracks you want to play. And there're no track/artist details available through the player... to achieve these things you have to rely on iTunes. The choices you have are to play through tracks in the order you programmed them to appear (through iTunes), or to select 'shuffle' for random sequencing. The lack of basic track info is annoying, since even some very rudimentary players are able to output an lcd display with track names. This product looks the part but unfortunately it doesn't work with Vista. Despite trawling the web looking for fixes I have finally given up and had to return the player. So be careful when purhcasing...

Excellent bit of kit, I wouldn't be without it. Really good range on the wifi side, I've connected no probs at about 50 metres. Battery life not brilliant but OK. Only big dissapointment is the lack of stereo bluetooth, come to think of it there is no Bluetooth at all which is a major ommission, hence 4 stars.

Such a lovely little thing! When I go out jogging, it's not the slightest in the way and works perfectly. It stores all my favourite songs and I can't remember how I managed without it. Another thing... I searched the internet high and low and found the same item for even as much as £30 more than what I payed for at amazon. Rather funny thing too was that when I bought the item from amazon it would've cost me £3 more to have bought the iPod Shuffle which had only 1GB memory from Argos. But this way I got it for cheaper and with more storage AND delivered to my door for free. Couldn't be better.

I bought this because £30 for 4gb seemed like a good deal. I wanted a basic, temporary mp3 player to keep me going till I've got the cash for a better one. The player is as described by others: quite attractive, small and light, and easy to use. It does NOT have a radio, even if the description above mentions one. But I am tremendously disappointed. The output volume of this player is ridiculously low, at 3mw per channel (compare that to the iPod's 30mw!). It is impossible to hear music anywhere near traffic, on the train etc, and even on a quiet street it's quite irritating to constantly want the music just a bit louder. i bought this product 4 days ago and first impressions were i like it !! having got the hang of it which wasnt hard at all,my impression is i love it !!.the ease of use is hard to beleive and the sound quality in one word is fantastic !! on looks it is really cool and i am an auld fella of 67yrs so that should tell you something,as always amazon packaging and delivery are superb 10/10 to them thank you amazon.

This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just £50 than a classic. This only store 4 GB (some 8GB) while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.
