Great little player and fantastic for the first few months - although volume is a bit low. Didn't use it that often then today charged it up and it wouldn't start after. A dead MP3 is useless so don't expect this to last for too long at all.

The Transcend T.sonic 610 is very easy to use and the 2GB facility gives you excellent storage space. The sound quality through the earphones supplied is also very good. The major disappointment is the FM radio, where the reception quality is poor and non existant in buildings, vehicles etc. When outside you have to wave it around in the air to locate a signal, this is bad for a FM radio.

Here's my review of plus/minus points on a scale: +3: The sound quality. Cannot be bettered, so superior to the iPod Nano in this regard that it's laughable. +2: It charges to full very quickly, even though it's a USB charge. Seems to charge from flat to full in less than an hour which is pretty quick compared to other players. +1: The FM radio is actually useful, much better than a lot of radios on larger players like the Zen Micro, which I struggled with. 0: Doesn't come with a mains charger. Not necessary though, as it charges from USB, but USB mains chargers are available separately. -1: Slightly concerned about the flimsy feel of the buttons. Only a minor point, but would've been nice to have a more solid feel. ... Read More:

Must say I was really dissapointed with this little player. The design is very light and tacky looking, cheap plastic. I wasnt expecting great quality for £25 but you can get much better than this. The menu is very fiddly and tricky to use, nearly threw it off the wall at one point. Takes ages to copy over your files, and it kept loosing connection with my laptop. One plus is that you can charge it from your pc and a mains adaptar that comes included. The earphones are a waste of time and the socket for the jack is tiny!! Now need to go and buy an adapter to connect my JVC earphones, very annoying! Some of my mp3's came up as "format error" on this player, and there is nothing wrong with them. I bought this in a hurry and now wish I hadnt

I absolutely love this ipod! i bought it about 5 months ago from ebay (i know its about 3 years old) I found that because it was second hand that the battery life was almost dead but i found a website whihc shows you how to replace the battery! i love the fact of choosing a colour i found a website which shows you how to upgrade the memory and spray painting the ipod mini so after christmas i am going to buy a faulty ipod of ebya spray paint it and change the hard drive foir a bigger one!

This is a really great product and now is the time to buy them because they're getting real cheap second hand. The sound quality is good for something so small and it is really easy to use with the click wheel and Itunes is good too. It's really beautiful to look at and it's so slim. But that was it's only flaw for me. It fell out of my pocket when doing shopping. So overall it's fantastic but quite easy to lose.

After reading the conflicting reviews I decided to give it a go, hoping I would be among those who love it. I did love it, until it died exactly a week of me getting it. It seems many people have had had the same problem. I can only say I'm thankful I can return it to Amazon rather than go through the hassle of the warranty. I'm not even bothering with an exchange, I'm going for the full refund.
