I bought the player a couple of weeks ago. I used it two times. The the player went dead. It does switch on, if I connect it to the USB does not seem to recharge. The computer does not see it (tried MAC and PC). I have written to Lavod to know if there is a way to reset (apart from pressing the reset button) and they have not bothered answering. So I have now contacted them again and put in CC the seller pjbox.co.uk. If I do not get an answer in a matter of a couple of days I will send it back.

This is a truly brilliant piece of kit.I use mine connected to my main hi-fi system(aiwa) and send the music to it through a logitech bluetooth receiver.this works well even in the next room and at a range of at least 10m.the sound quality is superb and the whole device is beautiful to use and even to look at.i use windows media player 10 which is simple and fast to sync.i tried an ipod nano before this and am extremely glad i did not purchase that as it seems very outdated in comparison.buy one!

Bought this after reading reviews. Excellent sound, features, weight etc. Everything I read and wanted as I run. After approx 4 weeks player unexpectedley began to turn itself off with no good cause. Tried updating players firmware without positive result as well as resetting to factory settings and then eventually reformatting drive...20+ phone calls/emails to Sandisk who are based in States (you get redirected from UK number, I then had to produce photos, copies of proof of purchase, screenshots from PC of Amazon account etc, etc, etc...now over 8 weeks and it's still sitting in my drawer at home and I'm still waiting for their customer services to get in contact as my return has been accepted but now needs 'RMA approval' whatever that is..Feels like ... There are a few negative reviews here, whether or not they are by people who have used this new Ipod or not does not matter. Those of you who have used one in the past will know the pros and cons, and this is probably Apple's best yet. The delivery was a sucess, in terms of shipping as they said it would come between the 6th and 19th of august,only arriving 2 days after the order and the seller and amazon kept me very updated. THE PROBLEM; The problem with the product was that after the 3rd day of only using up to 2GB it fails to turn on after FULLY CHARGING IT! The battery DOESNT NOT LAST UP 2 8HRS. It is almost impossible to put movies on it as there is only one type of file that it accepts which is ASF PLUS YOU MAY NEED ANOTHER PROGRAM TO CONVERT your files to a type that the ASF COVERTER ACCEPTS, WHICH TOOK ME 2 DAYS TO FIND! TO AVOID PROBLEMS LIKE THIS BUY THE REAL DEAL IT LASTS LONGER AND YOU DONT HAVE PROBLEMS LIKE THIS !!!

This Sony walkman is fantastic! I have owned an iPod, which broke after a year, and also a Creative:Vision M - that died after 9 months. The Sony Walkman is far superior to either of these. The sound quality is great, I especially like the different sound settings. It looks really attractive, the pink colour is really cute, plus it's really thin so it will fit in your jeans pocket easily. Sometimes pink things can look vile when you get them in your hand, but it's not the case for the Walkman. The memory is good for what I need it for - it can actually hold more songs than I previously thought. The battery life is also good - I use it loads travelling to and from university and it only really needs charging once a week. The headphones that came with it were a bit weird ... Read More:
