Firstly i will point out that the machine has decided to not turn on on two occasions. On both of these occasions it was soon after synching huge amounts of songs etc, and a quick press of the reset button on the side sorted it out within seconds. Apart from that, everything has been perfect. Video and picture quality is good, sound quality is excellent, especially with the included headphones. The x-fi doesnt seem to make a huge amount of differance. Unless you have very good hearing (not me then) i doubt you will know whether it is on or not. Playing from an SD card can be annoying but then thats something most of us will use rarely, if at all. Definately reccomended.

I had a Zen before I bought the Sony Walkman. My zen was VERY small and I loved how easy it was to upload songs etc...I am finding there is a bit of a learning curve for me with the Sony Walkman and uploading music. My only real complaint is being near a light source while trying to see your screen is a pain! The front of it is very shiny pink, I could use it for a mirror! So it reflects any and all light. If outside I have to find shade and cover it with my hand to see what is on my screen, lol. The battery life does seem to go on FOREVER! I am very happy with my Walkman, hate the "trendy look at me" hype with the i-pod. I would recommend it!

I've had this mp3 player for roughly 6 months now, and for my lifestyle, it has been perfect. I usually spend 3/4 hours per day using my computer so keeping the machine charged is never an issue. Whenever i do use my mp3 player it is either for roughly an hour on the bus per day or otherwise whenever i feel like it, so again the battery life isnt an issue. However, for people who do not commit to the same life as i do then these things could become more of an implication, having to keep your PC on to charge your mp3, aswell as having a slighlty limited playback time. At first, the touch pad was a little lairy to get used to, but then again i had never even used an ipod before so thats all fair, and i picked it up within days ... Read More:

I have to say that this is one tougth bit of kit! I've worn mine on a motorbike, in all weathers, for the past 2 years without fauilt. I've even recently stuck it in the washin machine by accident - and she still plays!!!! (Although the battery is not what it used to be) My only criticism is that there aren't enough random/shuffle patterns. Highly recommended!

Please DO NOT BUY this product. It is without doubt the worst mp3 player on the market, and probably the worst waste of money I have ever had. The File Master software that comes with the player is absolutely awful. Every function is completely counter-intuitive. Deleting files from the player in the software actually only removes the files from the playlist - it does not delete the file. You need to do this seperately in your normal windows explorer. WHY? The player crashes all the time. The random play function requires you to start a new playlist every time you start the player before taking effect. And sometimes its not actually random.
