The ipod is a decent bit of kit in that the sound quality is very good.... if you buy decent headphones. And the battery lasts well even if playing games etc. But its major downside is the ridiculously sensitive wheel its a nightmare getting it onto the album or song you want 1st time likewise adjusting the volume is massively hit or miss. I found that when placed inside my armband while running the wheel becomes a little easier to control but then i'm running and dont need to adjust anything anyway. I was told that it could be adjusted in the settings but i cant seem to find anything. Basically this is my 3rd ipod and probably my last i'm going back to sony

What a FAB piece of kit! It's sleek, sound is great and has a funky yellow colour, which was essential as this was a birthday present for my 13yr old son and he loves it! I would however recommend that you buy the iPod Nano Case - PG603 IceBox, as not only does it protect the ipod but it further enhances it's appearence.

Don't buy an MP3 player until you've considered this little gem from Sony! Sound quality is better, much better, than on the IPod. Integration with WMP11 and Windows is good. Apparently it works with iTunes as well for those that use it, but I haven't tried that. Video transfers easily and looks surprisingly good - colours are rich, picture is sharp and motion is clear. I was sceptical about the SenseMe feature (the player analyzes the music and categorises into channels such as classical, upbeat, lounge etc). This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just £50 than a classic. This only store 8 GB while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.

This device knocks everything out of the current gen ipods. We have to consider it as on par with the likes of the ipod for being the best multimedia players out there today. I bought this Sony Walkman after 5 years of being entertained by the Sony NW-a1000 which i have to say is fab as well in terms of looks and sound. It was only recently that i decided to purchase the new Walkman player in hope of putting more songs and as well photos and vids. Sansa Fuze 8gb MP3 Player Black A great little device that in my opinion is a better and cheaper alternative to the ipod Nano. Another advantage is that it doesn't tie you to itunes. In MSC mode you can drag and drop your files just like a USB memory stick and works under Windows XP / Vista, Linux or MAC OS. That or use WINAMP or similar to sync to it. It has expandable memory which fully integrates with the main memory if you run out of space. Its styling and size are very similar to the Nano, but maybe not quite as stylish if that sort of thing bothers you. That said, the build quality feels good in the hand and the rubber mechanical wheel has a much nicer feel to it than a touch sensitive interface. Read More:
