Unfortunately the phrase I most commonly use in association with this player is "useless heap of junk". Let me explain. Although good in some ways - the sound quality is good (especially on heavy mode - don't bother with the headphones that come with it though, get some Sennheisers instead), and the capacity is amazing (I haven't even managed to half fill it and there are a few hundred CDs of music on there) this player is frustrating in many other ways. My particular bugbear is that it does not like cold weather. This is incredibly annoying when I mostly listen to it on the commute to and from work. Whilst it does everything people seem to be raving about I wouldn't say it's a quantum leap in sound quality and features from devices that were around a few years ago. I'm thinking of the iRiver ifp series of which I owned a couple of examples and which sounded as good as this and had most of the features except for capacity. Which is why I'm only giving this 4 stars (4.5 would be closest). My only beef is that the user interface sometimes hangs; you can be tapping away at the play or pause key and nothing happens. It only happens occasionally but can be annoying, if it doesn't clear, switching into another mode (or off) and back on again usually ... Read More:
