I've had this camera for some time now..never had any problems with it. The picture quality is fantastic, the macro function with zoom is my favourite. Also, I like taking some landscape photos under varying light conditions and the camera is able to capture as it is, which is fantastic. I have even managed to click on a slow moving train without any glass reflection. This is definitely an excellent buy if you like photography, the only downside is its size as it is a little bulkier to carry around.

Electronics : Pentax K110D 6MP Digital SLR with smc DA 18 - 55mm lens [6MP, 3x optical]
This neat little Pentax is a good entry level camera. However I would urge you not to buy it! Why? Because the K100D is identical and comes with Image Stabilisation which is BRILLIANT and you would be mad to miss it. it means that unlike with most Nikons/ canon where to get IS you have to buy Very expensive lenses... with the K100D all your lenses are effectively stabilised. This means you get much sharper images when shooting in poor light or with a telephoto. The K100D is a winner. Do not be puit off by 6MP. The sensor is 4x bigger than in a digicam. You do not need a sensor of over 6MP unless you are printing over A3 .... and lower pixel count improves results in low light and high ISO. A winner .. but get the stabilised version.

I didn't enjoy this camera at all. I owned it for a year and it suddenly stopped working on me. Secretly, I was very pleased as now I have an excuse to buy another camera!

My biggest complaint however is in focusing, I found all of the extra settings for things like sport shots, or landscape shots etc were useless if they didn't include a flash as the photos just didn't work - they ALWAYS came out blurry. No such thing as anti-shake with this camera apparently!! However, when using the flash I found most pics did come out fine, but when you didn't have the flash on and it was a low light - forget it!!

I bought my D70S on holiday in Bangkok last year, and have never regretted it for an instant. The controls - while not being exactly intuitive - are pretty easy to get used to and I soon overcame my initial "I'll never learn what all these buttons do!" reaction. The range of image sizes and compression modes is good, and the variety of exposure modes and other controls such as spot metering, spot focus, exposure compensation (even for flash) is superb.
The two best things about this camera are the lens and the exposure system. With autofocus switched on and the camera set to P (or Auto) it is virtually impossible to take a technically bad photo. All your shots will be crisp, sharp, and well exposed. Now all you have to do is get the human element write: choice ... Read More:

I bought this Olympus SP700 digital camera for my 88 year old father. After the inital learning curve had been conquered he now picks it up and confidently points and shoots photos at will.
Good colour, easy to use, auto funtion more than adequate for most things. Range of options impressive with explanations on the lovely large 3" LCD screen.
Highly reccomended.

I bought a Fuji 602 pro zoom to replace a Nikon 35 mm film camera and was very pleased with picture quality but very dissapointed that taking action shots with the fuji was pretty much impossible as it was so slow to take a picture once the button was pressed. I then bought a 300D and so far I have been very pleased with the results.

Anyone used to a film SLR will be able to master it pretty quickly and might not even need to read the instructions, I
didnt. I bought a 28-300 Sigma lense and a 500 MB card to go with the camera and on the highest picture quality setting this gives 114 or so pictures. You get good life too from the re chargeable battery. Action shots are now no problem at all
although macro shots are not as easy as with the fuji and the ... Read More:
