I've recently bought this camera - along with a second lens. Absolutely FAB! I too (like the other reviewer) have had cameras by other manufacturers but this is outstanding, especially at the price. I also have a Konica compact which has been fantastic - exceptional colour reproduction, and this follows in that field too. Lots of features, well built (somewhat better than the two other "well-known" cameras I looked at), and I'm looking forward to many years use. I was very impressed with this camera when I first received it as I was pleased to have a good camera at last! Good it is, its solid enough to hold properly without wobbling during a photo, quick at taking the photos (not a delay like some cameras seem to have), its very easy to use (even my parents managed!) and it looks good too. However the video camera setting is dissapointing which lets it down. It's very dark and theres no way of changing this. However if you're more interested in taking photos than videos, then I would highly recommend this camera. The only reason I have mine no longer is because it fell in the sea :( nothing to do with the camera, just an accident!

I like it. Mine came from Amazon themselves, not from another supplier as some previsous posts. My son dropped his previous Vivitar and broke the lens so this is a better replacement for that. There is no pouch/case supplied, but they are only a few pounds, especially on E-bay or look in a car-boot, or check the size, the pouch from most small cameras will fit it nicely, certainly the Vivitar one does. Get your gran to knit one, if it's that much of a worry. One nice feature, there's a little tray supplied, to place the camera onto if you are taking a self-portrait on the timer or lots of shots as in a lego animation (brickfilms style) or even a long exposure.
