This is a very light, small camera, that is simply to use, and takes great photos. Brilliant for the price. It takes SD memory which is now so cheap to buy. The only fault I can see, and it is a pretty annoying one, is that all the settings (apart from what picture resolution you set) revert to automatic everytime you switch off the camera, this is so annoying! I like to leave red eye flash on, but instead have to fiddle with settings each time I switch it on.

This is a great camera. You've got so many options. Picture is taken as soon as you press the button, as opposed to the multitude of cameras where there is a serious delay between pressing the button and capturing the picture. The macro function for close-ups is great as well as the superzoom. This is a very versatile camera. I paid 250 pounds for this camera and that makes it the best deal in the market!

The Olympus brand is a great camera for anyone new to the digital format. I got this as a present and not knowing that much about digital cameras I was a little apprehensive about the more complex to operate cannon and Fuji models. This is not to say that they are not without their merits but the simplicity and performance of this camera gives everything the novice/social photo enthusiast would need. The only drawback to buying a camera on its own is that you will need to get yourself a rechargeable battery pack and batteries with a mAh of 2000+. Agree mostly with J. Walker of Wales. I bought this two and half years ago as a replacement for my Fuji F410 zoom which went belly-side-up! Big mistake!! Never mind interpolation of pixels, this is only a 3 megapixel camera!!! Also, unlike my old F410, the zoom CANNOT be used in movie mode - you will have to stop shooting, re-zoom then resume shooting (by which time, of course, the moment has passed!) Unless you merely want to LOOK like a professional photographer (without the camea to go with it), go for it! It does take reasonable pic's if you don't want to print over 7"x5" and the movie mode is ok if you don't need to use the zoom as well. Oh, and one more thing - just try and get the XD cards to go with it! It will not record ... Read More:
