Very good overall camera, easy to use and handle. But be warned - the first time I used it snorkelling (one month outside warranty expiry!) water entered camera and now there are dots on every picture I take. The camera was only used for about 10mins before the dots appeared and was no more than arms length underwater. Specifications list it as waterproof to 1.5m for 30mins so it was very disappointing to find this camera does not hold up to its description.

I am really pleased with this camera, however the noise after iso 200 is a bit of a pain but can be sorted with some thing like "Neat Image" . outdoors fantastic!! well recommended.

I love this camera. Ive been eyeing this camera up for months but it's been way out of my price range until now. If like me you take a lot of portraits (i.e kids,pets and family) then there really is no better camera.It produces pictures with the famous Fuji colours and skin tones also it is capable of 12 stops of dynamic range,which is as close to film as a digital camera can produce and is way above the competion. The pictures are great straight out of the camera,so you don't really need to touch them. The body is pro quality ,weather sealed and feels solid,it is the same body as the Nikon D200 which very similiar to the new Nikon D300. Ive never actually owned a digital camera before i bought this one. Within 30 minutes of owning it i was taking photos. Ive had this camera for well over a year now (maybe about 20 months). Its still doing what i bought it for. Ive took some nice pics with this and experimented with its macro, black and white pictures etc. Ive took it on holiday captured sunsets, sunrises it goes everywhere with me. It goes to the shop at times even. Ive took it to gigs and took some good pictures. Ive used this almost everyday. I love this camera its served me well and although im thinking of upgrading im still going to keep this gem. The battery life is excellent also. Its well worth the money.

I recently purchased this camera in its 'D860'guise, (although I fail to see any difference apart from a slight cosmetic change to the silver bar to the front of the unit the 'specs' being exactly the same), to replace a Samsung 5 mega pixel camera that I have been using trouble free for two years. I wanted a higher spec camera and after looking around I had convinced myself that I wanted a Canon 8mp camera, but upon seeing this on special offer at less than half price, £60.00, I couldn't justify the £120.00 price difference for the Canon, so plumped for another Samsung. I am glad that I did as it has everything required to take fantastic snap shots. I now stand by my choice of paying the price of this beautifully crafted camera, which has style, elegance and Zest, and it does what it does. Its gone well beyond my own expectations, and I anticipate many memorable experiences from taking photographs from this camera. I, stupidly in hind sight, read the Which report on this camcorder AFTER making the purchase and they only gave it 37%, so I was a bit worried. My anxiety was short lived however. After having the camera, and using it for only a few hours, out and about today, I am incredibly pleased with my purchase. It's size makes it ideal for popping into your pocket, and it can be powered up and recording in seconds.
