Very sturdy and light camera which takes lovely sharp photographs whilst on the move. Fits into my pockets easily with no sharp edges and has a very good quality viewing screen. All the buttons are flush with the casing and it is a joy to use. (Complimented with a Crumpler case in scarlet red)

I've had this camera for about a year and in that time I've got into my photography more and more. On the whole I'm impressed.

The optical zoom is great but needs a steady hand and the self-timer to avoid camera shake. That said I'm considering a tripod now as I do alot of landscape photography. The battery life is pretty poor but other aspects of the camera do make up for it-and AA's are easy to get hold of. The viewfinder is brilliant quite frankly-I love it. It cuts out the glare you get from the normal LCD screen on a bright day and makes you bring the camera close in-reducing wobble, which makes all the difference if you're using half or more zoom.

As a straightforward point and shoot-its fine. If you want to get ... Read More:

I'm an art student, and was looking to take a step forward in my photography by upgrading my digital camera. Ideally I wanted full blown DSLR but my teeny, tiny budget did not allow this and so after looking at this camera and the Fuji S95000, I can tell I made the right choice with this one.
My knowledge on the technical side of photography is alright but not great, despite this I still found the P880 settings very easy to understand. The menu is easy to navigate through and the LCD screen is clear and decently sized.
The colour is very true to life which is a problem I had with my previous camera, the picture quality is excellent with very little noise, even with zoom. The wide-angled lens makes taking pictures of groups of people or ... Read More:

What can i say! A superb little camera. I wasn't too sure on the camera that i wanted, so i went to a local electricals store and straight away this camera stood out to me. It has a very modern design which is complimented by the glossy finish. This camera gives quality shots each and every time due to its 8 mega pixel camera. Also the lens has a 3x optical zoom, there are no moving parts! I also noticed that this camera has a brighter screen compared to a lot of the other manufactures including Kodak, Olympus and Nikon. There are shooting modes for all occasions weather it be light or dark, this camera does it all. Definately a recommended buy!!

I have always been a Kodak fan and thought I should treat myself on my birthday last year. So I bought it and indeed it tickled my fancy! Bluetooth works perfectly great and the PerfectTouch feature has never let me down. Oh, the flexible rotating screen matches my Iphone just fine! Three stars ONLY for the fact that the flash is not that good compared to most of the CX series though I bet there's a solution to any mystery out there! :-)

At first i really liked this camera, it took some really good outdoor pictures on my holiday this year and last, However after very little use and no damage/drops etc. it no longer works.

The camera has a design flaw in which the internal shutter fails to open and therefore photos cant be taken (well a black screen comes out, but that is all) everything else about this camera was ace.

Looking on the internet for a fix, it would appear this is a massive flaw and nikon are failing to recognise the problem. 1000's of broken camera's all with the same problem, some only a few weeks old, some have been repaired for the fault to return a few days later.

Do not buy this camera, it is a problem waiting to happen. I personally will not buy another ... Read More:

This camera was bought from pixmania as a replacement for a kodak DX6340, which suddenly and mysteriously died recently. However I was able to use the cards from my Kodak in this camera-it gives about 168 photos on a 512MB card when on top quality settings. I took the camera on a 4 day expedition, where the weather was less than ideal, but it still produced good photos. The battery life from the supplied Oxyride battery was excellent-it lasted the whole trip-and when using rechargeables later, they gave good performance too. The 2.5 inch LCD is clear and bright, but as with any screen its hard to see in bright sunshine, and there is no viewfinder. The camera starts up and is ready to use in little more than a second, and about 4 shots can be taken almost instantaneously with little ... Read More:

I got this camera after buying a samsung which was total rubbish, cheap and nasty and then broke after 3 days and on returning it decided on the Pentax instead as I wanted a camera with an SD card and they only had a few to choose from.

I've had it for a few months now, It's not as good as my previous Canon ixus i but is growing on me.

It looks very pretty, is a nice size and extremely well made and robust, my 3 year old has dropped it a few times and it's survived well.

Don't even bother with alkaline batteries as it's a waste of money but the rechargeable ones I use will take around 60 or even more pics, all with the flash.
It can be fairly simple to use as my 3 year old seems to manage to take reasonable pics, my 13 year old takes very good ... Read More:
