For the price this is a great camera. Compact, lots of features, good picture quality (though for good night shots require a very steady hand/tripod). Very pleased with it.

A really good camera. Enough features to do whatever most "average" users want, but not so much that it is too complex to use. Another reviewer mentioned that the flash was weak - I suspect that depends on what you're comparing it to - certainly, it's been fine for our usage so far. Picture quality, colours and focus all look really good - light enough to carry around a lot (unlike my last camera). I can't think of a reason NOT to buy one of these...

Ladies, how many cameras have you broken because they have been at the bottom of your handbag on a night out and you've thrashed it around?! I've broken 3 so far by doing that. If you have similiar problems you should Buy this camera! although I havent bought it yet I've thrown it round a room with an Olympus rep and I was very impressed how much it could stand up to! This is a great camera and anybody thinking about buying it should go for it.

I've had this camera for about a year and in that time I've got into my photography more and more. On the whole I'm impressed. The optical zoom is great but needs a steady hand and the self-timer to avoid camera shake. That said I'm considering a tripod now as I do alot of landscape photography. The battery life is pretty poor but other aspects of the camera do make up for it-and AA's are easy to get hold of. The viewfinder is brilliant quite frankly-I love it. It cuts out the glare you get from the normal LCD screen on a bright day and makes you bring the camera close in-reducing wobble, which makes all the difference if you're using half or more zoom. This wee camera produces images that have a beautiful filmic quality. The software it comes with processes RAW files from 3 colour layers, and magically restores bleached out skies and burnt white! The shadows open up and reveal extraordinary depth. As a seasoned pro photographer, I've never seen anything like it. The all-metal camera itself is a joy to hold and behold. Weighty, stark minimalism with very few features, just a wide angle lens and a big sensor. It demands respect and will reward you. I love it!

Shame - Shame - Shame !!! I've used Olympus cameras for the past 30 years and up and till now have been pleased with each one I've owned but unfortunately this is not the case here. The camera is a bit of a babe magnet - it certainly doesn't scare the girls away by causing unsightly bulges in your trousers and when it's turned on only about 2 inches sticks out - the girls go "ooh" & "aah" & "isn't it little" then quickly strike a pose as it starts flashing in their direction. The design of the camera is well thought out - it is sleek and stylish with drop-dead gorgeous looks.
