I bought my first T30 after returning from a dive trip to Indonesia. I was impressed by it's slim dimensions even when encased in it's underwater housing. Unfortunately my wife also liked the camera so much that I rarely got to use it so I snapped up another on Amazon while there are still a few around. The new touch screen models just over complicate a great piece of engineering (you can't use them underwater anyway). Buy one while they are still around, time is running out!

i have one of these, and like several of the other ppl here, i have had the same problems with image quility, its usless in low light, the auto focus has major problems in low light settings (you have to take 3-4 pics to make sure) even with the AF assist light on. but you do get great well lit outdoor images from it. the videos are very nice and in focus, shame about normal pics, good sound qulity but the video feature is a one button press, and i have found myself pressing it alot by accident if i hold it in one hand, very annoying but i thankfully have a 8gb sd card. the outside of the camera, its looks and features are LOVELY, shame realy that its not just around for its design aspects. i have a old cannon ixus 500 that ... I bought this camera after my previous Sony cybershot camera broke (it was dropped on the floor). It is a good size and is great for recording short bits of footage, teh sound quality is quite good. My only problem with it, is that I wish it had some of the features that my previous cubershot camera had such ha fireworks / sports settings. But it is a good all-rounder camera.

My son bought this camera in the States and promptly lost the receipt. It stopped working after a couple of months. He'd used it whilst swimming in the sea, snowboarding and for underwater shots in a swimming pool, but never below 3'-4'. As he had no proof of purchase for the guarantee he opened it to check it out himself, found plenty of evidence of water leakage, corrosion all over the circuit board etc. The pictures it produced were no better than from a camera half the price. Given that one is paying for the waterproof feature it was a great disappointment and consigned to the dustbin.
