I first purchased "edge" on the same seller and tried this product because it's cheaper and bought this for my niece and it is also easy to set up and works the same as edge. Highly recommended and must for nds owners.

At first glance I thought I had bought a great frame and for a good price. Unfortunately it had to be returned because of: The colour depth on the screen is not good, at least on my unit. I suspect the graphics card is quite limited by today's true colour standards. This means I get very noticeable colour banding on photos that have a wide range of colours. Given this product is a photo frame, this is enough of a reason for me to reject it. I see no reason why the image quality should be no less than that which I get with my computer monitor. Please note that I am not talking about resolution, that is fine for the job. I also felt the screen could have been brighter but turning the brightness up just washed things out, so I guess ... This camera is the lightest and smallest camera I have owned so far. It has features I find very useful, for example the shoot and choose function is great for shooting action shots. It will easily fit in a largish shirt's lapel pocket. It starts up quickly for those moments when you need a camera bit quick. I have only given it 3 stars though because the picture quality is only average. It may be 8 megapixel but I think I was achieving better pictures with my Canon a70 3.2 megapixel camera 5 years back or more. There is considerable noise in most pictures. Colour leakage around things and lndscape pictures seem a little flat. But if you want a well made, lightweight camera at a reasonable price you'd do well to consider this.

Setting it up and setting the time was very easy to do. It came with a CD to install the software to load your photos. This was very straight forward, easy to do and worked first time. Once the programme was installed it was very simple to choose my photos from my computer to upload. When you're shopping for a digital photo frame, only two criteria matter. The way the frame looks, and the way your photos look, displayed on the frame. If I were rating the Nix on the former, it would have received full marks. Apart from a slightly flimsy plastic stand, the build quality is superb: on par with that of a decent static frame you'd buy for your non-digital pics.
