As a middle-aged female, more used to vinyl than electronic music, I found this product relatively easy to use. It does exactly what it said on the package in the exact way it said on the package. My MP3 player volume was low and the product needed adjusting in the car socket, both of which caused me a good ten minutes to discover. For the price this product is amazing and extremely good value.

The adapter turned up as expected. You plug it in, the red light comes on to show it's powered, you plug your ipod cable in - nothing happens. Please don't buy this and expect it to work. Binned - it wasnt worth my time to send it back. Rubbish.

For 11 quid (current price at time of writing) this does the job quite nicely for supplying music when doing gardening, gym etc. where the bulkier case that I normally use gets in the way. I use this with a 5th Gen 30GB video iPod which is the same size as the new 'classic's I believe, and although it's a bit tight to get in and out it functions perfectly. Cheap, cheerful and perfectly adequate for the job.

The cable on my wonderful Sony EX71 earphones broke as I was on my way to the seaside... I went to the nearest town and nearest shop to by the same ones, but they only had EX75 model. And due to the slightly different shape I was concerned if they will fit correctly underneath my motorcycle helmet. So I decided to go for the Apple ones instead as they have very similar and even more attractive shape compared to Sony EX71. Bass is nowhere near as deep and impressive as with the Sony earphones and they kept falling out of my ears regardless of the adapter size... They are a bit louder then the Sony ones, but it seems this is at the expense of overal sound quality and this only makes your ears hurt. The sound is not as crisp and clear as with the Sony ... Having used Final Cut Express 3.5 for a while now, and after editing numerous projects I welcomed version 4's release however I must admit to being rather disappointed. The new features seem next to non-existant and although Apple are really pushing the new version I would be tempted to go with version 3.5 as your paying a lot less and getting basically the same package. Parhaps when version 5 is released in the future it will be a bit more of a step forward as opposed to a step sideways.

I was very disappointed as I used this item four, maybe five, times and the seams at the bottom of the ipod pouch came apart. This product needs to be redesigned using stitching instead of gluing due to the hot/moist environment it is expected to be used in , i.e. at the gym/out running. It is however possible I got a duff one! Also the method of adjusting the strap was awkward, velcro would have be much easier !

The USB/iPod connector I received looks well used---or trodden on. Tried the wall plug with the connector but could see no indication of the iPod charging. Tried again with the wall unit and the official iPod connection---still no charging. Tried the cheap USB connection from computer to iPod---device not recognised. Tried the official USB connector with my computer--- the iPod indicated charging and it did so in a few minutes. Now need to try the cigar thing unit. Not sure whether this 3 in 1 kit works or not.
