I heard good things about low discharge rechargables and decided to give them a go. They're absolutely amazing and its like sticking a fresh pair of batteries in each time. I've used them in my wii, xbox 360 and even a flashgun for my DSLR. The charger actually holds four batteries, which isn't obvious in the photo - Two in the front and two in the back, and you can charge 4 of one type (AA/AAA) or two of each type. It also has a slot to charge a 9V rechargable if you decide to buy one later one. Only reason I've given them four stars and not five is that the charger isn't a "smart" or "fast" charger, and so its takes 9 hours to recharge the batteries fully. Not a problem for me though as I can charge whilst I sleep!

Fantastic! I have used this charger on AA and AAA batteries and true to it's word, they all charged in 15 mins. Haven't used the car charger yet, but I'm sure it will prove really useful in the future, especially on long car journeys. No need for disposbale batteries ever again and no need to wait hours until you have fully charged batteries. I'm still amazed that they can be fully charged in such a short space of time.

I bought it direct from amazon who were selling it for £4.54. Does exactly what is says and helped me identify dodgy rechargeable NiMh batteries so I could dispose of them and keep the good ones.

I partly agree with the points made by the other two reviewers but thought I would write a review for the sake of balance. I love this grip and find myself using vertical shooting more often because of it. (Although I do find I take a few accidental shots if I forget to "lock" the shutter release) The reason for the "balance" in the title is because I find the camera feels more balanced when using lenses such as the 18-200mm VR Nikon. I mean "in the hand balance", when you place the camera down on the battery pack it will fall forward with the weight of the lens. I agree Nikon should of supplied all the adaptors you need, but then again if you want to use the D3 battery you would also have to purchase a new charger (more expense) I ... Read More:

Bought this charger because of the 15min charge time and it's reasonable price compared to others. However I had difficulties from day one trying to charge the batteries that come with the unit. They are hit and miss. The annoying thing was that when the unit refused to charge the supplied batteries (which was indicated by a flashing red light) it had to be left for a while (sometimes hours) before it would charge successfully. The last time I attempted to charge the batteries, the unit started to smell of burning and smoke came out. I have had these AAA rechargeable batteries in use for a while now in a digital voice recorder, which I use about once a week, and I am very satisfied with them. With my infrequent use ordinary rechargeable batteries were quite unreliable, needing a lot of recharges respectively, without getting much recording time out of them and would sometimes run out in the middle of a recording. These hold their charge amazingly well - I would compare them to high quality ordinary batteries for real life capacity. Highly recommended for devices one may not use for a while or infrequently or as backup batteries, where one needs a stable charge.

I've had these beauties for getting on a year now ,having bought six packs.Yes the charger takes a while and doesnt cut off so warm batteries are kinda guaranteed,but you can put them in the camera and go back months later to them still charged and rarin to go,unlike the 2700mAh NiMHd I also have. I also find they last a compable no of shots to my more "powerful" batteries. Buy em they are Mint!!!!!
