this may be the first edition and my first one of these but i fell in love with it the second i got it out of the case. it is light stylish and very good at what it does. i would recommend this to anyone that wants night vision monoculars and is a first time buyer. the batteries are cheap and last a long time probably about 23 hours of constant use.

I am no expert when it comes to scopes, had one given to me as a freebie :-)

I can't give you techie specs, but I can say I am happy with the scope. The clarity is superb, even at night. I can't quite get a pinpoint focus at full magnification. When looking at a star it seems a bit fuzzy, don't know if this is normal!

Switching over from 6x-20x is via a small dial which is quite smooth. When it switches over you might have to refocus a bit, but it maintains the point you were looking at. When zooming in you will have to keep refocusing. When at full zoom there doesn't seem to be clearly defined lines, but good enough to read a car registration plate at 1.1km. At 1.3km I could just about make out some of the letters ... Read More:

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Electronics : Canon 10X30IS Image Stabilising Binoculars

I bought these for watching birds whilst on a boating holiday the Image stablilising is amazing. They eliminate loss of focus through shaking noticed mostly on real close ups. Try them in a shop first even when your arm is jogged by another person the stay true to focus!!! Would be perfect for sports!! Like cricket with a fixed point of focus.
Enjoy these binoculars even when star gazing but you need to get out of the city to see the real benifit of them. Enjoy.
