With limitations, this navigation system works brilliantly - I would not leave home without it. The lack of post-code search is the biggest drawback and the reason I would not recommend it; finding an obscure street can be tricky if, for example, you think the address is in Scunthorpe when it is actually Bottesford, Scunthorpe. I suggest looking at a TomTom system that does have a post-code search. Having said that, I am perfectly happy with the system and will not change until the receiver breaks down. A few words of warning to those new to satellite navigation systems for cars. The pack supplies only the gps receiver and map software. It does not supply the PDA to make in-car navigation possible. This was a hassle to get working initially. There was an issue with the file structure on my Palm so I had to copy the maps onto my desktop (using Missing Sync on a Mac), format the SD card and then copy the files back into a folder called Palm. Once I did that everything worked, almost, perfectly. Also, I cannot for the life of me find a sucker holder for a Palm Zire! Once installed properly on the SD card (it is a known issue and TomTom were relatively helpful in resolving it...) the system connects to the GPS pretty well, though I haven't managed to get it to turn the GPS on automatically. You do have to be outside for it to work as it just cannot get a fix on a satellite. Once running the system is very fast, very quick ... Read More:
