It is not often that one falls in love with an object, but I have.I used to have a manual Nikon SLR back in the "good old days" and thought for the last 20 years that nothing could replace it. I was wrong. Technically this gem is phenominal, the zoom is astounding and for me a 50 year old highly suspicious of all things digital , it is a revelation. Linking up to the Canon site you can easily download your images, work on them, creat your own albums and send them to freinds. I use it as a visual diary. My only complaint is that the Canon site limits you to 100mb but I am working on that.It has opened doors for me which I thought were technically truly closed.Brilliant

I'm a huge ixus fan, I have a seperate DSLR but use the ixus for more day-day shots. It's a tad on Bestpriceddbrands-but I've heard bad reviews, so I would only purchase through Amazon. My last ixus (75) took me round Thailand, Maldives,etc+results were amazing-this is even better! I LOVE this. Like a lot of the reviews they mention the images are equal to the IXUS 970 I'd rate this one over the two. The build quality is fantastic, the interface is new & funky. It may take some getting used to-but I love it! I can't leave it alone, it goes everywhere with me+I can't wait to get back out to the Maldives and test it out! Quite simply the best value for money Canon prime lens you can buy! Amazing quality photos in low light conditions - great for portraits. As countless others have noted, the only negative is the cheap build quality, but then any lens needs to be cared for! Used with care produces great results, full stop.

After my canon iP1500 packed in I browsed the net to find a replacement and purchased an iP 2600 which had several good reviews.My printer arrived post free in 2 days from Amazon and I am delighted with the printer-it was easy to set up (about 10 minutes) and the results particularly photo prints excellent. This appears to be a very good printer for the price especially for someone like me who is not a heavy user and occasional photo printer. I would certainly recommend it-the only downside being the cartridge price but this is on a par with the majority of modern printers.An USB cable is not provided but I was able to use the one from my previous printer

I wanted a printer that worked on a network because I was tired of having to switch on my wife's computer every time I needed to request a print via our wired network. When the old Epson gave up the ghost I decided to investigate Canon printers as they seem to come out on top in independent reviews. I have not been disappointed and so far it has performed impeccably. The set-up guide appears rather awesome initially but if you read through it and follow the instructions carefully you should have no problem. Attaching anything to a network is often problematic but setting up our two computers to work with the printer through our network was trouble-free. Initial tests are very impressive. Great printer in colour and mono. As good as my old Epson R800 (when the Epson was new). One 'funny' though concerning Scanning. The Manual says OPTICAL resolution 4800x9600 dpi. BUT the Scanning options only allow a MAx of 600dpi. Someone is pulling someone's leg here. Contact Cannon Support I hear you say. Well, you try. Round and round and round. Try Faxing them I hear you say. Good luck, their Fax machine has failed to answer in the 5 times I tried. Great Product. Appauling Support. They should be ashamed... unless it's done on purpose?

Bought as a carry in your pocket point and shoot and very happy with it. Good battery life, Good auto focus/exposure control. Produces good results on the go. So easy to use even my 3 year old managed some good shots with it.

I have now been using this camera for 6 months and find it easy to operate.Like all technology you just have to make yourself aware of the contents of the user guide which is comprehensive. The still and video results are very good both in detail and colour.I always use large or widescreen for stills and highest resolution for video.Get a couple of large capacity SD cards, I am using 2GB but think a 4GB would be useful. You only get the one chance for some of those perfect shots so why spoil quality by using a lower resolution. I have used the lower settings for E bay pics.only. My only disappointment is that I cannot crop pictures within the camera (yes I can do it on my computer) or use optical zoom while taking video, unlike my wife who can ... Read More:

Same performance as in-box battery supplied with my Canon IXUS 850IS - around 400 shots every charge. An extra (charged)battery pack is vital accessory on long trips and tours.

Very usefull to have one of these, i use it in low light / night, landscape and still life photography. I find it perfect when shooting seascapes and need to get waves just as they are breaking. Great bit of kit and highly recommended.
