This is a canon battery charger. I'll admit, its not the most interesting thing in anybody's life but it is useful; especially if like me, your ex-girlfriend nicked your charger... and lets face it if you have such a pretty canon camera you can't go offending it by buying one of those cheapo generic chargers.

OK, so the price is a bit steep on launch, but that's what you pay for being an early adopter. Having at one time or another owned a body from every level of Canon's range I can happily say this one has not dissapointed. Purchased as a replacement for a 350D the first few days with it have been a satisfying experience.
It's a little plasticy and would benefit from the battery grip, particularly with larger lenses, but the picture taking side of things appears excellent. The image quality is splendid as we are all used to from Canon and the ergonomics are great.
If you have the pennies you can't go wrong !

I have owned this lens for 12 months now and take it with me when I'm photographing every time.
I use it mainly for portrait shots, which gives ultra sharp shot of the subject and good background blur behind the subject with vibrant colours. This lens is as good as it gets without having the 'L' standard, but remarkably as good.
Every wedding/portrait photographer who owns a Canon camera should have this lens in his or her arsenal.

Before making the decision to splash out on the Canon lens for my Canon EOS 400D I spent several months comparing reviews and opinions on various lenses. It came down to a choice between the Canon 100mm, the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro and the Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro Lens. Each had its plus points but the general consensus of opinion consistently favoured the canon.

I do not regret my choice. For close-up work the 100mm lens is a considerable improvement over the standard 18-55mm lens, and for macro it is excellent. Best results are achieved when using full manual settings, and I find the lens performs at its best roughly between f8 and f22.

Using the lens as a standard telephoto I am not yet convinced, certainly ... Read More:
